It's been quite a while since we heard anything from the xk3y team. They're back with some news for users of their ODDE for Xbox consoles.
The team has tweeted that the xk3y now supports the Hitachi 0500 series drives found in Xbox Slims. However, it's not a straight implementation. In order to take advantage, you will need to fix your box for the Reset Glitch Hack. Once you get that going, you'll have to pull your CPU key and two other files that you obtain from your NAND dump.
If you have to go through all of this, you're better off on just keeping the box RGH'd, and getting rid of the ODDE entirely. Like the guys at Homebrew Connection mentioned, it makes no sense to go through all of this. However, if it floats your boat, by all means, go for it.
The team has released a new firmware to get the xk3y working with the Hitachi drives.
