Freestyle 3 and F3 Installer Will Give your Dashboard a Makeover

While we don't tend to focus on the Xbox 360 scene quite as much as the Sony products, there's no reason we shouldn't take a quick look at some of the other system's bigger releases. Obviously there are tons of different options to choose from when it comes to working within a customized dashboard, but none have looked quite as stunning as the newly released Freestyle 3.

Obviously as the software's name denotes, the Freestyle name certainly isn't anything new to talk about when discussing development on the Xbox. Their software has existed in two previous updates and has included a slick  and intuitive interface that has worked to the delight of many a fan. Gone are the days of wading through menu upon menu to get to the content you want. Because this system is designed by the gamers for the gamers to put all of the most important system functions right at the forefront of the OS. While there a tons of updates to talk about with this new iteration, one of the more nice looking features is the new thumbnail mode that displays a picture for every game in your library. It's a small change, but definitely makes the whole system pop out more from your retail consoles. However, as is with most releases of entirely new dashboards, you're going to have to do a completely new install if you're looking to reap the benefits of this new look. Luckily however, the Freestyle Team does have you covered with their F3 Installer software. More or less rather than fending for yourself, this nice little GUI will allow  you to install the dashboard through NXE or an image boot should you want to burn it to an install disc instead. Essentially not only are you getting a gorgeous new look for your 360, but you're getting a simple installation too. What more could a hacker ask for?
