Some Maximus Lizard Updates

UPDATE: (10/26/11) - Team Maximus has reversed the recent update of the Lizard Toolbox and GECKO OS due to the fact that they overlooked the EEPROM update on the drives. A new version of Lizard Toolbox and GECKO OS has been pushed with this feature removed.

Team Maximus dropped a number of updates for Lizard product and relating tools. The Lizard Toolbox, GECKO OS and filesets have all been updated. First off, there is an important bugfix for those who make use of the Lizard's Standalone Mode feature and have flashed a Xbox 360 Slim Liteon Drive. The second update is support for LT+ v2.01 that was released for Samsung drives. The third adds support for flashing LT-MAX firmware to supported drives and the last update is for the Lizard Toolbox program itself. Let's take a look at each:

Bugfix For Standalone Mode Users

If you use the Standalone Mode feature of the Lizard and have flashed a Xbox 360 Slim, there is a bug that prevents the proper handling of the 'dummy.bin' file thus resulting in the flashed LT+ v2.0 firmware not working on the drive. In order to fix this, the team pushed out version 2.00c of their SD Filesets with everything fixed. They do note that you should use the 'dummy.bin' file that you should have saved back when the drive was stock.

This bug does not affect users who flashed Phat Xbox drives or have used the regular mode of the Lizard to flash.

Support For LT+ v2.01 & LT-MAX Drive Flashing

Alongside the updates to the SD Filesets, the regular filesets have also been updated to add support for iXtreme LT+ v2.01 which was released earlier in the week for Samsung drives only. The newest Lizard Toolbox and GECKO OS firmwares now have support for flashing compatible PC DVD burners with the LT-MAX firmware.
