iXtreme Burner Max Announced

Submitted by greg; October 13, 2011

Now what do we have here... Or soon to have anyway... C4E, in association with Team Xecuter and Team Jungle, are planning something big ... real big -- it's iXtreme Burner Max! Say what... iXtreme Burner Max? Yessir... As you know the XGD3 format has a larger capacity than a standard DVD+R DL disc, meaning it's damn near impossible to create a perfect XGD3 backup ... until now. That said; C4E presents his latest -- another first ... the iXtreme Burner Max firmware that'll increase the size of a DVD+R DL disc to a full 8.7GB! This [custom] firmware is for a yet-to-be-named SATA DVD burner; the group plans to share the name soon after they test the various versions of the drive.
We are so far supporting 4 different versions of this drive, we want to make sure we can cover as many as possible. There are LOTS of this particular drive available and the RRP is less than $25 USD. On the bright side At least everyone will be forced to upgrade to a decent burner now.
Features
  • 100% Customized burner firmware - never been done before!
  • Full 8.7GB 100% Backups on standard Dual Layer DVD+R DL
  • Flashable via Jungle Flasher (Upcoming Version)
  • No IMGBurn Errors
  • No CIV errors
  • Passes all current checks
Requirements
  • Verbatim Dual Layer DVD+R DL compatible only at this time
  • ********** SATA DVD Burner
iXtreme Burner Max has no release date set; however, it is said to be coming very soon. Amazing, really. - source: team-xecuter

Fuck it, I'd rather buy the games I want at this point.

Piracy has suddenly become an expensive hobby, give me a software hack like the PSP on the XBOX and I'll pirate away. I'm just tired of buying specialized equipment to hack the various things only to have it backfire several times and by the time I do get it to work it has already costed me triple the amount of the game I wanted to pirate in the first place...

So... Microsoft lied: they said they used a special DVD, it turns out they only change the burner way to burn the disc, same old DVD.

Hey Piracy is something when u dont have the original and play the backups in the P2P's but it's not piracy when u r having the originals and using the backups to keep the originals safe as they are costly as well as very attartive (It's design, cover etc) C4eva dosent appreciate piracy understood. Just Shut the fuck up and dont post shity comments. Just and go to hell and rot.

C4eva dosent appreciate piracy understood. If that is so, why did he even begin the project of being able to backup games? If your too stupid to take care of your originals thats your own fault, wanting a way to copy games is still piracy regardless of the lame excuses for doing so. If he does not appreciate Piracy he should have stuck to buying originals and never started in the first place.

but it's not piracy when u r having the originals and using the backups to keep the originals safe You will actually find that statement a load of garbage, not only do a vast majority of countriesfrown upon such things, you are also breaking the terms and conditions, copyright laws within the game screens, manuals and casings. Breaking these is simply breaking the law, so hence it's still piracy!

Just Shut the fuck up and dont post shity comments. <- Preaching to the choir

actually backing up your legally purchased games is 100% within copyright law. What happens when you buy an e-book and back it up on say amazons cloud storage for safe keeping when your e-reader gets full? same concept in the legalistic realm. I'm guessing you never actually took the time to read the DMCA or the terms and conditions. As long as you do not use both at the same time it is perfectly legal.
