For those who aren't enjoying the benefits of using a hacked firmware in some shape, way or form simply because they are waiting for the great c4eva to drop a word, you're in luck. c4eva has stopped by in IRC to announce that the iXtreme LT+ firmware that is in development, is working fine with Team Xecuter's replacement PCB. Not only that, he says that the firmware should be ready for release by the weekend. Being that we're already in the middle of the week, that's real soon. If you're in college or working that 9 to 5, the weekend can't come soon enough.
Team Xecuter has pushed a replacement PCB for the Liteon 1175, just as they did for the first batch of Liteon drives found in the Xbox Slims. This works out a great deal, as the only other way that you'll be able to take advantage of backup games is through the Reset Glitch Hack or the xk3y ODDE. (Which requires the RGH in itself) If your soldering skills aren't up to par, then this is definitely the safer and what could be the most cost effective option. Now that you know what's coming, it's time to prepare for it.
