xk3y Bans Start Going Out

If you are the proud owner of a xk3y ODDE, you would ought to know that Microsoft has started to ban users of the device. One unlucky user has posted a video of his setup and of the Xbox receiving the ban message. The video has since been removed but the message has been made clear.
Other ODDEs such as the Wasabi360 and the BoxZii are not out of hot water as they are also detectable. However, there has not been any reports of them being the cause of a console ban as of yet. To those using any of these ODDE devices, you might want to take the necessary precautions to avoid a ban. (That's if you care about Xbox Live. If not, carry on with your lives.)
The xk3y team has not released a statement regarding the ban waves.

I guarantee you its the people with xk3y 7.2 because the xbox360 could easily pick up anything via usb. People with the first gen probably have no problem as long as they followed the guide and installed the fw on time, and if they did not use the image loader.

I looked over at the xk3y forums and no one is reporting any bans. In fact, all of them are saying they are still going on live and that this video was probably the work of some fanboy. One of the most interesting posts came from one of their mods:
"Always a possibility of being banned, you are breaking their terms of service after all. But so are CFW modders. If there is a ban wave, you would think that it would affect everyone, not just xk3y users.
Also, my testing box has logged a disgusting amount of errors...Lots of e64s during testing. A billion AP2.5 errors when where playing with the first XGD3 game trying to get it to boot. And then once more when we got games to work after the silent update (actually, the last one logged no errors, that worked first go)
So if anyone is going to be banned....its my box. Yet, its still online.
The fact is that Microsoft has not pulled the trigger yet, and no one but they know when it will happen."
I don't own an xk3y or a modded xbox so I don't have a dog in this fight. Personally, I don't think any ban wave has happened yet so the jury is still out on whether or not c4eva's firmware is safe or if the xk3y is detectable. Only time will tell I guess.
