Xbox System Update 2.0.13604.0 Released

It was announced that a minor dashboard update will be rolling out to Xbox 360 users over the course of today. As Major Nelson notes, there are no new features that are included in this update. Although it may look this way, this dashboard update may go in the same direction as the 13599 update where it locked the Slim Liteon 9504/0272 drives.

For those who bit the bullet, are reporting that XGD3 backups are working fine on both the Phat and Slim consoles. However, it is not clear on whether or not the dae.bin table has changed or if there are any other anti-piracy methods introduced.

As always, if you care about Xbox Live and having an unbanned console, wait for the official word on the matter on whether it is safe to upgrade or not. In the meanwhile, hang tight. (Or like me, hug your newly acquired Slim)

I got a Phat with a Lite-On in it manufactured in 2010 and everything is still working fine. This will not flash the drives in the phats. So here all is cool.

Forgot to mention this is still able ot play online on the phats. No problems as far as that goes. Not sure what the update was for but it sure wasn't to stop hacked phats from playing backups or online.

willl this afect the xdg3 games like gow 3 cus to rip them you you need to use the dae.bin in side of xbox backup creater and you have to use the right dae.bin for your dash and at mo the latest dae.bin is : v12 - 13140-13599 and new dash is 2.0.13604.0

Hi, I updated my xbox 360 to 13604 Dashboard after to restored stock fw on my DVD Drive. The update went fine and after I reflashed my DVD Drive to LT+ v2.0, now I get E66 Error on my new backups (XGD3). But my old backups work fine!!!!!.....PLZ HELP
