Will Microsoft Take A Groundbreaking Step With The Xbox 720?

Submitted by UnashamedVandal; May 28, 2012

After the possibility of the Xbox 360 being banned, Microsoft will have to look towards the next generation and fast. What can we expect though? Well weve heard plenty of rumors about the next generation of consoles, about what they could include and what we can expect, however this is something we haven't heard yet. According to recent reports the Xbox 720 could feature Skype to contact your friends via your console. It isnt just simply a standard chat though; apparently you can video chat whilst playing your games. Thats right! Microsoft are geniuses of eliminating social protocol, and now you dont even need to have your friends in the same room to see them and talk to them about the game you are playing. Lets be honest though, the possible banter this could produce might be worth telling your mates to log onto their Xbox rather than coming round to play video games. My YouTube Channel - Watch! My question would be, where are they going to place the video chat window?  Are they going to shrink the gameplay area to allow the video window not to obstruct the gameplay area.  I think my sister would absolutely love it.  She love to video chat with her boy friend over Skype.  This would allow her to do so and play her games without having to switch back and forth between her MacBook Pro and her TV screen.  Very interesting indeed.

the shrinking game window would make the most sense, unless the next gen consoles have a multi-monitor feature like you can do with a pc, then one monitor could be a game, the other is skype

Maybe they will feature a small screen in their controller, like the Wii-U?  Just kidding, or am I?
