If you got a hacked Xbox, then it's time to lay off the Xbox Live. There have been reports of a new dashboard update that began its rollout today. Since there was no heads up given by Major Nelson or elsewhere, it could be an indicator that Microsoft is up to some sneaky stuff.
The new dashboard brings the kernel version up to 14717. That's the only information available right now. As always, if you value your iXtreme firmware or Xbox Live functionality, you'll stay far away from this update until it's deemed safe to do so. If you decide to bite the bullet anyways, make sure you don't pull a stupid move and flash back to stock before updating.
We'll update this post as more information comes through.

Quoat "make sure you don't pull a stupid move and flash back to stock before updating.". Thats what you need to do. If you are going to update, flash back to updated stock and update dash, then flash the drive back to ixtreme. Maybe the wording was done wrong, or I read it wrong.

For 14699, yes. You can do the RGH if your Xbox meets certain conditions.

What I was trying to imply was that the stupid move was updating without flashing back to stock.
