Shoot Many Robots Vid Goes Behind the Scenes

Submitted by OS_Gamer; January 11, 2012

Shoot Many Robots is a downloadable game that is coming "very soon." It is being published by Ubisoft and developed by Demiurge Studios, who are known for their work on Mass Effect for PC, BioShock, Rock Band, and Brothers in Arms. This new game is more of a 2D, platforming homage to games of old, but it's still looking pretty cool.

Instead of going on and on about how awesome their game is, in this new video (see it here) Demiurge takes us behind the scenes to take a look at the different layers and rendering of the game. With a click of a button, the narrator is able to strip the game down to a bare-bones outline form or remove lighting effects to give the game a more cartoony feel.

Even when he does so, the game remains very playable. So much so, in fact, that he states that Demiurge was considering leaving in some of the renders in as options after you beat the game. Hey, why not?

Shoot Many Robots is coming to the PSN and XBLA sometime in the near future.
