PC Gamers Get Mass Effect 2 in Their CoD Packages?

Submitted by Christopher Groux; November 14, 2012

You read the headline right.  There have been several reports on sites like Steam and Reddit claiming that Mass Effect 2 actually arrived in their Black Ops II packages instead of the second disc required to get the game up and running. Usually when errors like this happen, you can bet that there was some huge snafu when it comes to the production line of the software. The real hilarious part about this though is that Mass Effect 2 isn't even made by the same developer as CoD! Few mess ups can be as strange as this.

When asked about the incident, reps from EA and Activision chose not to comment, but you can guarantee there are quite a few disgruntled gamers out there today. I'm sure some kind of refund plan is already in place should you want to fix the issue, but if not Mass Effect 2 did score on or above a 9 in most publications. Certainly I'm only kidding, but this is quite the game launch oddity. Let me know if this happened to you!

Check the back of the PS3 release, it says only works on 3.30 FW and above but supports 3D, which we all know didn't come till the 3.50 FW

PS3 v3.30 added support for 3D in GAMES. 3.50 added it for Blu-Ray Movies.

either-way, I don't see them releasing a new game and only requiring a 2 year old firmware, so it's still a misprint.
