The word's probably gone out by now but Microsoft has started another round of its Xbox Dashboard Beta Preview Program. For those who were lucky enough to keep their eyes peeled and get enrolled in time, you'll be trying out some new stuff. For those who weren't or aren't interested, take a look at what you can expect in the next major dashboard release.
The dashboard beta kicks off at 2.0.16091.0 and adds a couple of new features, more of which are expected to become available as the beta testing progresses. The major goodie that beta testers can expect is the addition of Internet Explorer. As revealed earlier in the year, Microsoft is looking to finally include their browser to enhance the experience available on the Xbox.
Other than that, users will now get personalized dashboard recommendations, enhanced category search and discovery features and "Pins" to customize the dashboard. Like the previous set of beta dashboards, this set will allow you to access Xbox LIVE. For those using c4eva's iXtreme firmware and ODDEs, it has been reported that the dashboard plays nice with those as well.
If anything notable arises, we'll keep you posted.

I wanted IE a few years back, but don't anymore. The pins could be handy, but I'd prefer they go back to the original NXE, as the current dashboard is a bit of a pain.
