Team Xecuter has been the subject of counterfeit products in the past, so this one should not come as much of a surprise. Their CPU POSTFIX adapter that was recently released was copied by the guys out there in China. Xecuter mentions that the fake adapters do not provide a proper fit around the CPU and that the pogo pins are prone to breaking easily. With the word out on the street now, potential buyers should exercise caution when they are buying this and other Team Xecuter products from their choice of reseller. To ensure that your reseller is reputable, you should check to see if your reseller is on the team's official Reseller List. If not, then you are on your own if you receive any fake goods.

Xecuter also warns that there are emails going around offering a discount on a non-existent Xecuter DGX. You should be aware and steer clear of that as well.
