Well, I was a little skeptical at your post the other day, however I thought you made some interesting points, in terms of how the game seem stagnated.
I completed battlefield campaign mode and played online in the week prior to the MW3 release. However I found the gameplay bland, the cut scenes, although graphically rich were flat and poorly acted - no feeling. not at all convincing. I felt no empathy towards any of the characters. BF3 was also surprisingly short, and I felt a little underdeveloped in terms of character control - it lacked finesse.
On the other hand after playing MW3 I feel invigorate d. My brain says that the environmen ts shouldn't be this enveloping in comparison to BF3 but they are.... The character control is fluid and comfortable (most likely due to familiaris ation), the environmen ts are rich and feature filled - even if a little linear, but the story, acting and cut scenes are far superior to BF3. And as usual online takes the biscuit - despite the annoying 8 year olds.
A great improvement over black ops...
