Feeling quite attached to the Zune media streaming service available on your Xbox? Well, that's too bad as Microsoft is going to swing the mighty axe through the service and replace it with something else. It's probably the reason as to why it wasn't included in the last Gold weekend.
The Zune replacement is set to be up for demonstration during this year's E3 conference. It's codenamed Woodstock and it will bring a Spotify like service in which users can build and share playlists and match local music files with those available online. Woodstock will not be limited to Microsoft only products and is said to be available for Android and iOS users.
Details regarding any subscription fees or tiers were not announced yet. Woodstock is expected to debut alongside the Windows 8 operating system.
Will any of you be feeling the change here or look elsewhere for your media streaming needs?

Microsoft can never settle with new things and ideas these days. There are talks about dumping Bing and now this? I just wish people would give Zune a chance.
