Microsoft managed to squeeze what they've called the Spring update to Xboxes worldwide. Besides doing the usual, it was supposed to block the use of unauthorized third party controllers. Soon thereafter, they drop the first update of the summer season which was nothing more than bugfixes. Now, it looks as if they will have to get another one up and going.
The latest dashboard update that is going out in waves has been found to bring more bugs to the system. Gamers using Datel, Fantec and Madcatz racing wheels have found that they do not perform normally after the two updates, after the dashboard update was originally supposed to fix those problems. If you're quite the hardcore racing fan, you might want to stay put on your current dashboard if you don't want to risk the functionality of your wheel.
Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and is looking into a fix for the bugs that remain.

Poor Microsoft. They try to do the right thing and lock out some of their customers from using products they bought, only to mess up and clock out "legit" products. At least they still have their good name which they can rely on to continue to dominate this generation.
If you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic.

I think an additional post should be applied regarding to those who have chipped/flashed their xbox. I'm sure those people would want confirmation on whether the new dashboad is safe or not to update using the latest firmware (LT+ 3.0). Also, within the post it would be nice to confirm if there is a potential risk of silent flagging, leading to a massive ban wave. It would be very much appreciated.

This is a very stupid move by Microsft, they are already going to court over pattens theft anf now they pull this crap. I have lost my faith in them. Let people use what controllers they want, not everbody can afford 60$ controller
