With the Halo franchise getting some action tossed around between Reach and Halo: CE Anniversary Edition, Microsoft is set to release it's Halo Waypoint app for mobile devices. The app which will do it's usual Reach game tracking, whill will be a nice supplement while playing online.
The Waypoint application will be released tomorrow on December 10th for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 7 free of charge. (See specific requirements below) Microsoft will also be releasing an app alongside Waypoint called Assisted Tactical Assault System or ATLAS. ATLAS will provide players will a real time outlook of the current map they are playing on. It will show little things such as the location of spawn points and health packs to the bigger things such as the location of weapons and vehicles. Did we mention that the latter half is updated in real time?
ATLAS will be free to Windows Phone 7 users while Android & iOS users will have to pay $4.99 to access the goods. To make use of this app, you will need version 7.5+ if you are on Windows Phone, iOS 4.3+ if you're an Apple user and Android 2.2+ for mobile and tablet devices.
