You don't have to be a gaming enthusiast to know that the Halo series has for the most part been a mainstay for the first-person shooter genre. If you've been following the series tightly, you may remember a real time strategy game called Halo Wars, but for the most part that game did not really receive the same kind of perfect tens across the board like the previous games in the series. Not to mention RTS games just really aren't for everybody so even some fans of the series itself chose to pass on it.
Given this record however, you might be surprised to know that Halo 4's executive producer Kiki Wolfkill has bigger plans for the Halo universe. She claims that if there is any other avenue that would take the IP into another more interesting direction than it would undoubtedly be considered. She reminds us that really the creation process isn't just about making a bunch of shooters, but rather seeing how far the brand itself can take them. We previously saw Halo move onto the web with the Forward Unto Dawn hype campaign, and Wolfkill suggests that this just might be the beginning of a new era for Halo cross-dissemination. Are there any other genres or formats that you all would like to see Halo head into?

yes, just one other format that has been overlooked by micro$oft = THE PC!!!
last halo game on PC was halo2. remember that one?? launched with win VIS#!ta.
2 os's down the line and no halo game wtf M$. Have to fire up my falcon and reflash just to play this game.
would GLADLY and QUICKLY pay for a PC version, but alas it gets put in the "TOO HARD" basket by micro$#!t.
pc has MORE processing power than x360. yet we either get sub par ports of games (push start on crysis 2, a pc game....yeahhhh) or just not released at all.
tl;dr micro$#!t should release halo 3 and 4 on PC and show the consumer that the pc is STILL a gaming platform
