Gamer Breaks Black Ops II Record

A 28 year old gamer from Australia that goes by the name of Okan Kaya, set the world record for the most consecutive time spent playing a Call of Duty game. Kaya was officially monitored by a representative from the Guinness Book of World Records.  He was allowed just 10 minutes break from the game for every hour played. When finished, Kaya smashed the previous record by 15 hours and 50 minutes, a record that was originally held by two Canadian gamers.

 

 

To avoid those monitoring him becoming zombies from endless hours of watching, a new judicator was brought in every 4 hours to keep watch. Additionally, video footage had to be taken in order to prove everything was legitimate. Despite attempts to, Kaya was not able to attract any sponsorship deals with any gaming related companies; this was because they didn’t want to be seen as supporters of addictive gaming…rather ironic if you ask me.
