Bungie Data Transistion To Be Completed In March

As part of the process of Bungie pulling out from Microsoft, player data needs to be transferred to the new owner, 343 Industries. Bungie has continued to manage everything Halo related since their announcement of pulling out and they have confirmed that everything will be handed over to 343 Industries on March 31st, 2012.

In a statement released, Bungie mentioned that they will no longer be able to maintain the upkeep of game stats, service records, user created content or the Bungie Pro service. Any services being provided past March 31st will be hosted by Microsoft and 343 Industries, including the Halo Waypoint app.

Microsoft more or less clarified the transition process as well. On April 1st, Halo Reach's Fileshare will be increased to 24 slots and that this feature will be available on the web version of Halo Waypoint in the summer. Data collection will still continue for Halo 3 and ODST. Unfortunately, the Bungie specific features such as nameplates and rendered videos won't live past the transition.
