Wii U Specs Revealed?!

It is said that the Wii U’s processor is of a pretty low standard, even compared to its much older rivals. According to reports, the clock speed of the of the Wii U’s processor is a mere 1.24 GHz, which in comparison to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is extremely poor, in fact it is less than half the amount put out by Sony and Microsoft’s consoles.

 

 

On the other hand, the Wii U’s GPU core is much more impressive. It is believed to run at 550MHz, this matches Sony’s efforts in the PlayStation 3 and actually surpasses the Xbox 360’s GPU core. Previously, the Wii U’s processor speed has been criticised by developers, who described it as “slow and horrible”. Marcan published the specs on his personal Twitter account; however they are yet to be confirmed as 100% true, which means that the subject is still open for debate.

Its not all about clock speed and the number of cores its about the architecture of the chip. Lets compare AMD for a moment. Take the jump from Phenom II to Bulldozer for example. The Phenom IIs were beating the newer bulldozers even tho the bulldozers had more cores. So yeah clock rater and amount of cores does not make the cpu when compared to other cpus.
