Wii U Deluxe Selling Out "Incredibly Quickly"

I suppose if I'm going to start anywhere, let me give you the bad news for all of you hopeful early Wii U adopters. For one, all of the system's have been selling out "incredibly fast," especially the Deluxe bundle that includes 32GB of storage space and a copy of Nintendo Land. Because of this, execs at Nintendo say that phones have been ringing off the hook from retailers looking to get more units in their stores. If you were hoping to just walk right in and get one on that fateful day, the results seem to show that there may not be high hopes for you. If all of you had any doubts regarding the console's price point, Nintendo says that the intense customer demand really shows that the proof is in the pudding for a solid strategy.

However, don't start your crying just yet. According to the company's executive VP of sales Scott Moffitt, both quantities and shipments are going to be as highly packed and fast as they possibly can be. While shortages plagued the launch of the original Wii for quite some time, Moffitt is in high hopes that the issues won't be quite as aparent this time around. He says that they will be shipping more consoles at a higher rate than they have for any other product launch. That means while there will certainly be plenty of Wii U's on the market, you can bet they are going to go fast. May this story bring just a little bit more excitement (or stress) to your launch window.
