Features Missing From the Wii U at Launch?

According to a new post on the Neogaf forums, it has been said that the November launch of the Wii U might not be quite as complete as consumers hoped it would. Sure we'll all be getting some of those shiny new launch titles on the gamepad console, but what about all of  that cool stuff that Nintendo touted at its big reveal event? According to this particular rumor, only some of that will actually be there. For one, it has been said that NFC won't be here on launch day. This certainly makes sense considering Nintendo has already confirmed that none of the launch window games will come with that feature support, but it still manages to be a bit of a downer for those looking to get into a new era of gaming.

 

 

 

On top of that omission there are a few others that might supposedly happen. Seconly, if you want to use two gamepads on the Wii U, you'll  have to wait for that too. Again this sort of does make sense considering you won't be able to buy additional gamepads quite yet, but it does limit the full Wii U experience in some capacity. Quite possibly the hardest hit though could be the lack of Miiverse on launch day. According to this report, Nintendo's flagship social universe won't be there when owners first unwrap their consoles. You might be asking "what's up with all of these cuts," and Nintendo has suggested it's all about "overwhelming the customer" too soon.
