Use This Fix To Get YouTube Back in the Wii U Browser

YouTube is unquestionably one of the most popular sites on the entire internet, so when any sort of changes or stipulations are made with regards to its access, people are obviously going to get just a little bit crazy. If you've been logged into Miiverse lately, you've probably witnessed the intense rage that the community has expressed over the lack of YouTube support in the Wii U browser. Sure the app gets the major functions done, but sometimes its easier to just type in a web address when you're embarking on a lengthy web search.

All that being said, I hope this little fix will quell at least some of your anger. It might not be perfect, but there are plenty of positive reports about it working. All you need to do is add "_popup" after the word "watch" in the video URL and you should be all set to go. As an example, a fixed URL would look like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=iXXS3kEKkpw

Keep formatting your links this way and you'll be getting browser videos in no time. Hopefully a more permanent fix is here soon, but this will give you at least one alternative to being stuck behind an app.
