With the PS Vita scene still inspired by it's PSP roots, the decade old scene dedicated to the original Sony handheld just keeps on trucking. This updated plugin helps to give some added functionality to that much beloved home button.

I'm not really one for cheating in games, and if I decide to unleash this level of laziness I will always wait until I have finished a game to its maximum potential. If however you are more liberal with your shortcuts and cheating, this will spell hours of fun.

There are tons of emulators out there for Windows and Android, but as we know there aren't many choices when it comes to emulating PSP. While this is certainly an early release PPSSPP 0.1 shows some promise by being able to play some of the handheld's best.

If you're still messing about with your original PSP, odds are it's only because you enjoy the device's more or less unfettered homebrew capability. Just like the name implies FastExitGame allows you to back out of applications as quickly as possible, letting you leave your old task so you can better move on to the next one.

If you're still into using your PSP after all these years, odds are you've probably accumulated a ton of save games that you would hate to lose unexpectedly. Sure you can always back them up on your computer, but why not use Savegame Saver 0.6 by fede94boss.

If you're looking to get that classic PSP experience on your PC, you should check out the completely redone version of the PSPDUB PSP emulator for windows. Alongside a completely rebuilt code, increased file support and feature sets make this a must for PSP fanatics.

While the PSP scene is full of some great games that have entertained throngs of engaged hackers and fans, there are plenty of homebrew applications that somehow are able to fly under the radar mostly because they just doesn't have quite as much entertainment value as something like SNES TYL.

PSP developer jonathanduboucau is back today with an update to the PSP UMD Dumper bringing the app to version 2.3 for your legally owned UMD's.

It looks as if the PSP scene is slowly coming alive again. Homebrew are popping up, there's Coldbird's adhoc online client and custom firmware as well as programmers such as Avanaboy entering the scene with their contributions. Today, a new one by the name of KanadeEngel has something for those interested to check out.

Time to get opinionated again! The PSP scene has seen its fair share of tumbleweed the past month or so, but today I am looking for the opinion of -Hacks on something that was previously questioned before the Vita's announcement - the use of UMD's.

SuperFury has released an update to POPStation PSP -- a homebrew app that converts any PSX game to a compatible POPs format, meaning you can play said PSX (or PS1 / PSOne) game on your hacked or homebrew-enabled PSP.
If you're not familiar with POPStation PSP, then I suggest you read over the included readme.txt to get started.
