Patched up usbdevice.prx for CFWs

Submitted by greg; October 08, 2011

For your PSP ... whatever CFW you may be running -- M33, GEN, ME, or PRO -- this is a fixed version of "usbdevice.prx" that corrects the following:
  • Fixed UMD Disc mount in XMB.
  • You can dump iso with correct size.
See "how2install.txt" for installation instructions specific to your custom firmware. Be careful though -- you're overwriting files in flash0. It is probably wise to create a backup first ... just in case. And you can thank neur0n for it. Big ups.

Ok, I don't seem to be able to do this?

I can't find any existing kd folder or any usbdev.prx when I have my PSP connected to my PC with the USB cord. Can only see directories codepage, dic, font, vsh..

In VSH menu I have the USB device set to Flash 0.

Any ideas? I'm using the 6.60 ME v.1.5 cfw.

Alright alright, no need to be like that.. My goodness.

Well whats the recommended way of updating this usbdevice.prx then? The how to instructions aren't very helpful & don't explain much.

That's because in the PSP's VSH Menu (or Recove Menu) There's an option to set the USB Device as either; UMD/FLASH0-3/MEM STICK. Setting the USB Device in your PSP's VSH Menu to FLASH0 will enable your PC to read your PSP's FLASH0 next time you plug it into USB.

*Make sure to change it back to 'MEM STICK' in the VSH/Recove Menu After you copy over the usbdevice.prx (Make sure to backup your original one in the kd0 Folder).
