EPIC Sathe by V@ughn

Submitted by Tranced_1; January 20, 2012

PSP homebrew developer V@ughn has released a homebrew game called Epic Sathe, a stick fighting game for the PSP.

Surprise! Yet another homebrew! I got sidetracked while programming the next Sonymon update and this happened. I thought everyone would enjoy this little game, as I find it quite addicting (very biased I know). This is the first release so expect a lot of bugs, but later on I promise that this game is going to become a top-knotch homebrew. ENJOY

Epic Sathe is an epic stick figure fighting game. It includes characters I had created when I was little. Now, with life breathed into them, go against all the odds and become the fighting champ!!!

Controls:

  • SQUARE = punch
  • TRIANGLE = guard
  • CROSS = jump
  • START = pause game

Known Bugs:

  • only a few characters have pictures equipped

  • only a few characters are actually playable

  • still working out battle bugs

  • menus get stuck in infinite loop do not use customize menu yet!

  • you are screwed right now because all available characters suck

Changelog:

[v1.0]

  • created customize menu
  • fixed battle music
  • health appears above player and enemy images now
  • created a computer system to spawn levels infinitely (this game can go on forever now)
  • created some cool fighting effects
  • changed music
  • added "dude" character
  • programmed gravity
  • created AI (really weak)

[beta]

  • created PLAYER and ENEMY class
  • created a virtual list of 28 fighters
  • created menu and logo
  • recorded a plethora of sound effects
  • grabbed some cool music
  • created universal sprite sheet for faster sprite making

Apologies to V@ughn for reporting this one a little late. We appreciate your contribution to the scene.
