Mod: PSP Laptop Model .5

Check this: Folklord36's PSP Laptop Model... It's a work-in-progress, but in its current .5 state, it definitely showcases innovation and originality at its finest... What you see below is a PSP with the LCD screen and speakers relocated to the topside, as well an Xbox 360 Chatpad fitted elegantly where the screen was once viewed.

although it looks as if its only compatiable with the PSP 1000 models/PHAT..and i dont really see the use of a keyboard on a psp as its a game console.. not Microsoft Word..but anyways i am not hating.. how can i say it.. to me it looks like it came out of hell and farted in SONY's face.. good job =]

Okay, all you hating turd nuggets can go fly kites. Although I do have to agree that having a keypad on hand when psp has a digital keyboard programmed into the firmwares anyway is kind of ehhhhhh, UNLESS the keypad is actually compatable with the firmware it self and the psp can recognize keys pushed on it. In that case, Id love to not have to push the same thing 12 times to be able to get .com when putting in an adress or having to push the same key 4-5 to get certain capitol letters. WOP indeed and an amazing idea, let me know when you get all the kinks sorted and I WILL BUY ONE FOR SURE!

Keyboard would be awesome for irc or any other chat client aswell as forum posting.

uhh retard (Fidget)..the PSP is basically a game console integrated with an internet browser,picture s, videos and etc.. but the main purpose and read carefully is to PLAY ripped games..or UMD games..the whole brand of PSPs are mean't to be used as a game console just like PS3..etc..however the PSP packs more portability then a PS@/PS3..and in association to that as it is portable..meaning on the go..the PSP has an internet browser etc..etc.. get your facts straight.

Wow, am I the only person here who actually likes the PSPGo's overall design?

On topic, I'm actually liking where this is going. There doesn't seem to be any portability in mind here whatsoever, but since this is a work in progress I'm sure that will eventually change. I'd love to see a page taken out of the PSPGo's book and have the screen portion slide up to reveal the keyboard, it seems like it would make for a greater amount of portability, and would make playing games a little easier to work with so you don't always have to have it opened up, just when you need to use the keyboard.

im wondering if the new psp go can handle bluetooth mouse and keyboard i mean they did say it will do something similar to ps3 or something like that but if we hack it I'm sure then we can use a keyboard and mouse not sure why but I would only need the keyboard

alternative to PSPGo?..in its current state...i hate saying this but NEVER! however if FolkLord does redesign his keyboard mod PSP well then it just may be capable besides the PSPGO packs partability and Sleekness all in one..why hate on it..keep it up SONY and FOlKlord you have to give it up to both of these guys.

most likely 3 to four months after coming out. if were lucky 2 or 3 months but i am not counting on it. If SONY has a trick up their sleeve with the PSPGo making hacking it almost impossible..even though i believe everything can be hacked well then ill just well have to wait for a long time.. i know that i waited for the CFWenabler and CHICKHEn R2 to come out for a good 3 or 4 months

As much as I would kill for an official PSP keyboard to arise from the dead, this is simply unappealing to me.

I realize a ton of work and effort had to have gone into making it but even still, I look at it and all I can see is a waste of two perfectly good PSPs and a 360 keyboard.

Hi! Why dont you just use a docking station w/ spk and plug-in a foldable keyboard. Your main objective is to use keyboard, right? Then do a MOD on docking station for you to use mini/foldable or flexible keyboard so you will not destroy the original looks of your PSP. Just my two cents... Anyway you're doing nice experiment... goodluck...

The concept is cool and convenient. If Sony would make this sidekick-like model, it would make typing on the PSP way easier than it is now. Instead of making PSPgo (which reminds me of nothing more than the IPod's main characteristics : built-in memory and download only features), they should have considered this.
