The 6.XX PRO-C Online Client Gets A Version Bump

Submitted by Demonchild; June 18, 2012

We may be late but this is news worth covering nonetheless. Coldbird has updated his adhoc online client for 6.XX PRO-C. Let's take a look at what's new.

The new v0.10 mainly brings in the new PRO Online HUD homescreen and game compatibility. The HUD homescreen can be used to check the status of your PSP, your connection as well as chat with others who are connected to the online server. Other than that, more games can be played with the new 1.X Firmware Table Hooking added in.

Changelog:

  • Fixed a NULL Pointer crash in sceNetAdhocctlCreate / sceNetAdhocctlConnect
  • Added 1.X FW Import Table Hooking Support (this should make a bunch more 1.X games work, or atleast get closer to working)
  • New PRO Online Homescreen HUD & Button Mappings
  • Fixed a bug in the Netconf Utility Emulator which caused invalid disconnect events

If you haven't updated already, you can grab the latest version of the online client for whichever flavor of PRO firmware that you are using.

This works with any kind of Wireless router unlike like xlink that requires a wireless gaming adapter or a wireless router with a wireless ethernet brigde option.

All you need is either enable uPNP on your router or setup the ports manually.
