QuickBoot Plugin - Test 6 Released

Submitted by greg; August 25, 2011

It's like in-game XMB ... or FastLoad for your C64 -- it's wn's QuickBoot Test 6. QuickBoot lets you quickly boot another game (or ISO, POPS) while in a current game without returning to the XMB. QuickBoot is configurable through quick_boot.ini; there you can define what button(s) open/close the menu, menu colours, and what UMD-emulation mode to use -- Normal, M33, NP9660, or ME. QuickBoot also makes use of "cmlibMenu", which is included; however, you can always find the latest version here if need be. Refer to QuickBoot's README.txt for installation and usage instructions. And a quick shout out to @bsanehi for the heads up. Download: QuickBoot Test 6 - source: endlessparadigm

*LOL at pizzadragon as there is a permanent patch for 6.35 PRO.

To make PRO custom firmware permanent, run the CIPL flasher that came along with the other two folders from the PRO rar file. Note that only PSP 1000s and pandorable 2000s can use the CIPL flasher.

I can't see the point of playing 2 games simultaneously especially on PSP. Brilliant app nonetheless given PSP's hardware limitations.

Try PRO-B, so far, it is the CFW which has the best games compatibility...

If you own a legit PS3, I'd recommend 6.60 CFW Pro-B9. With it your PSP starts up with OFW 6.60, allowing it to work properly with your PS3. Then you just launch a single app in the Game menu to switch it to CFW, allowing all homebrew and ISOs to show up. If you don't have a legit PS3, I still recommend it, because it makes it easier to work with all current Sony stuff, so free games and DLC from them will work fine, but you get all the benefits of hacking too. ^_^

I think you'd best stick what firmware your PSP is in unless you want to a higher custom firmware but with not much support in terms of plugins, themes, etc. which makes a custom firmware appealing to users or unless you want a certain feature in that particular higher firmware that CFW 5.50 Prome-4 do not have.

It's not simultaneously. It is, you start the new game  and end the current one.
