Despite there being better alternatives available, many still choose to watch Youtube videos on their PSP. While all the existing homebrew may have died with the changes that the main site goes through, there's still one homebrew that's being modified to get the job done. Here's OpenTube MOD.
As the source post puts it, OpenTube MOD is a more updated version of the already existing OpenTube homebrew by providing a new interface, features and custom firmware support. Now here's a few words from the developer(s):
This application is a video player from our PSPs browser. Simple, but very useful. It has several advantages over other similar programs like PSPTube because it uses the RAM of the PSP as a cache, which makes impossible rewind the video. It also has a nice graphical interface and more.
There are problems with viewing videos in 4:3. The cache management is still not optimal. Homebrew tested [on] 5.00M33-6/5.50GEN/6.20 PRO CF-B5.Improvements:
- Improved graphical interface.
- Compatible with custom firmware 6.XX
- Still fails with JavaScript and videos in 4:3.
You can grab this homebrew and check it out, if you still have your PSP around.

This is really poor, fully same than first OpenTube MOD, I not see anything difference. In addition, when I've downloaded this, I see from RAR file, that it is modified in 2011. I cant play almost any video, it says "Too big" or "not codec found". Go!Tube is better. Only one good thing in OpenTube, good video quality. Search results also is poor, I cant for example see video's icon or description text.

I keep having "no codec found" errors while trying to watch videos, do i also need an external codec file or is it a limitation of my console (psp 1000 using 6.60 Pro B10)?
