OpenBricks 1.0 Arrives on PSP

Usually when we talk about bricks within the PSP community, it can never be for anything good. Still, today we have some good news for those of you that may actually enjoy bricks in a different context. Coming straight from a developer known as RYP, this simple brand new addition to the PSP homebrew community will hold a fond spot in the hearts of those that love classic games.

While it may not be the most complicated game in the universe, Tetris is a title that even today has captured the world over. OpenBricks comes into the scene as a homebrew title that is meant to openly capitalize on that success. That means in terms of actual gaming, the experience you have here will undoubtedly feel a little bit familiar. It is more or less your goal to stack as many different shaped blocks as possible without letting your arrangement reach toward the top of the PSP screen. The longer you are able to do this, the higer your score (and bragging rights) will be.

It's true that this game may not offer anything entirely new to the homebrew space, but that doesn't mean that this game shouldn't at least be acknowledged. After all, every new independent title deserves its time in the sun. If you haven't played one of the many Tetris clones before, or are just looking to try out the game again, there is no better time to start than with the newly released OpenBrick.
