CTFtool GUI v5 beta2 & CXMB with 6.39 Support Released

Submitted by greg; May 31, 2011

Some updates from developer patpat: CTFtool GUI v5 beta2 and CXMB! Both've been updated to support firmware 6.39. This [Windows] app and this plugin go hand-in-hand; CTFtool GUI lets you pack/unpack and convert CTF themes from/to whatever firmware versions, while CXMB actually loads and uses said CTF themes, giving your PSP a whole new look and feel. If you're interested in creating your own CTF theme you should check this thread out; Rob S. tells it like it is. Download: CTFtool GUI v5 beta2 CXMB for 3.71--6.39 - source: patpat's blog

I'm glad this came out. Now I can start converting 6.35/6.37 themes for 6.38/6.39.

I remember using CXMB for 6.35 PRO, but it would make the screen show only green colors wh en plugged into the T.V.

update to 6.39. you can install 6.39 pro b6. its not a permanent hack, as you have an unhackable motherboard, but you can run iso homebrew and plugins. pro b6 has excellent compatability as well. heres a link to download, etc.

Just upgrade to 6.39 and install 6.39 ProB6, then use pspident to see which module you have. If it's 3g or 4g, you can downgrade to 6.20 & use the 6.20ProB6 (Perma). If you have a 7g or 9g module or don't want to bother with the perma patch, your already on a great LCFW.

Apparently those custom CFWs that are labeled PRO-B7 are currently only builds and are somewhat unstable.

copy PROUPDATE and FastRecovery folders to PSP/GAME and run pro update from Game->Memory stick then follow the instructions on screen. If you turn off your psp you must run pro fast recovery from Game->Memory stick.
