If you are a musician or a producer of music such as myself then this piece of PSP homebrew will keep you entertained for a fair long time.
-Hacks forum member Babkock has thrown down ToneMatrix 0.7, a homebrew app allowing you to create your own music loop through the use of 8 different sounds and 16 possible places to set each
The latest update (0.7) allows you to mute desired tracks by pressing square, turning that track red. If you wish to play one track as solo, place the cursor on that track, press triangle, and all other tracks turn blue.
Download the unsigned homebrew and leave some feedback on the thread below!

Hey, this is Babkock. I can't make any promises, but I am working on an export feature. The feature will (hopefully) allow you to export your beats to song files, so you can play them again later, and share them with other ToneMatrix users. I have no idea how to go about exporting the beats as MP3s, but I've seen people record audio directly from their PSP before.

Hello, I have been searching online everywhere for a way to install this app but I cant find it. Everytime i try it it says corrupted data. I placed the MAC_OSX folder in the root of my memstick and the other tonematrix folder in the PSP/GAME folder, but nothing. The file itself offers no explanation.
Could someone please help me? I really cant wait to try this app out!

you should add a 12 tone synth. that'd be awesome!
it's really cool so far though. never seen anything like it for a psp. i know they have stuff like this for ipods, but who needs ipods when you can make your own software for the devices you already have, right? haha this is awesome.
