StrmnNrmn Returns & Joins the DaedalusX64 Project

Submitted by greg; November 26, 2008

StrmnNrmn, whom you know as the original author of the Daedalus N64 emulator port, has returned to the scene with great regard for the new DaedalusX64 project. Well I shouldn't say returned, he's just been laying low limo tint rollin' deep like the President... Yeah, he's been busy. Now as Kreationz reports via QJ: StrmnNrmn was and still is working on the Daedalus project. He's been continuing his work on the original port, as well lending his expertise and insight to the other DaedalusX64 team members. Good lookin' out. And if you haven't tried Daedalus and/or DaedalusX64 yet... Download: Daedalus R13 | DaedalusX64 Beta 1 - source: qj

R13 is the last version from StrmnNrmn and the BETA is the last one from the new team.
The beta is better in my opinion.

You're completely right. I'm going to waste countless hours playing Ocarina of Time wherever and whenever I choose.

... I think StrmnNrmn just didn't like someone else taking over his project.

He hasn't updated HIS personal project for the N64 for about a year...

x64 is without a doubt better it runs slighlty faster than r13 and witht the both of them working together if you give them six months i;d say than can have a full speed n64 emulator then i can finally play smash bros and mario kart anywhere

I doubt that is the case, you have a whole team working on x64 and progress is slow.
Ever wondered why StrmnNrmn gave up in the first place? It's a humongous task and it seems now that there is a capable team working on it.

that would be cool if they could get the best shooter on the N64 2 work Perfect Dark and the best racing game would be California Speed

For your information Kijoki, he did NOT give up on his Emulator, but his family comes first, he was and still is, improving his version, so having him in the team, is extremely cool, with his input, and help, this emulator is going to be amazing, you just wait and see.... :o)

R14 beta was faster than R13. However, X64 is about the same as the R14 beta, just feature-and-design-improved. I can't wait to see what's next from them.

in theory, the psp can actually emulate the ps2.

ps2 cpu-Emotion Engine clocked at 294.912 MHz

psp cpu-MIPS R4000-based; clocked from 1 to 333 MHz

see thats why they are making a direct ps2 gran turismo 4 port for psp cos the specs are so similar.
