Stakker PSP Idol Edition

I had every intention of posting this earlier, but the Homebrew Idol after-party in #area-51 got pretty wild leaving me incapacitated. So I'll get straight to the point... MK2k took home the Idol crown yesterday and in return left us with a little somethin' somethin' -- the all-new Stakker PSP Idol Edition.

Stakker Idol Edition:

MP3 playback also from ms0:/PSP/MUSIC
Crash regarding the loading and listing of mp3 files (hopefully) fixed
In-Game platform is a bit higher now, loosing a level because of dropping a block too fast is less likely now (but still can happen)
Anti-Cheat implementation (play the game, don't take it apart :-P)

Oh, dude, you should know you cant stop crackers/cheaters, well, you cant stop the good ones, xD
oh btw, my exaggerated highscore was some wierd bug that happened while i was trying to swap the colors of the blocks, the code somehow got in the way of the score something, so, sry for the trouble, im not that kind of "cheater"

when i press pause it freezes and crashes my psp

Only problem i had is i downloaded the new version and it still wont let me upload my score to the website

Um, hey MK2k, still crashes on my psp, again the music thing, tried it on a slim with the same memory & crashed, changed everything to another MS, & it worked, maybe its the pandora format, thats the only difference i could find

i bet if you format your memory stick that it didnt work on, it will work. I had this same problem with MK2k's Sleep 'n' Wake app.

Nice update man. If i get around to puting it on my 3.03 PSP ill see if i can get a highscore. So far I have only played it on my 1.50 PSP with iRShell, and my router has a WPA encryption so i cant connect with my 1.50 PSP.

A kinda big bug is that sometimes a few pieces get stuck, it's like they are moving all the time(after that thing falls) and it doesn't let me pass to the next level(since there are 2 pieces moving constantly)...

Could you do something about that?

I've experienced the same, sometimes holding down will speed up a small glitch and it will work itself out. Other times it doesn't

Really loving this game btw!! I'm pretty addicted trying to get a score of a 1000 or more. 960 is my best so far.

Hope you continue to work on this great game,

p.s. I think 10 lvls is just fine mkaes for a good 30 min game.

this is such a great game!! : ) but for me, ive had it on my psp for like 1 night and the game froze like 5 times all together maybee 6. but then again, ive been playing it non stop

i hope a better release is made for this game. when ever i listen to music it freezes

again...GREAT GAME!! it THE most addicting homebrew ive ever played

Ok, for those of you who noticed your psp's freezing when you pause, of beat the game, it is your Kernel Mode, switch it from whatever it is now, and then try it, that is what I did to fix it. Also, I noticed two small bugs that I found rather annoying.

1: When I play my mp3's After 3 mp3's, the music starts to skip like a broken record, going backwards a little, and then repeating in a small, annoying loop.

2: When I set a block lined up with the edge of the level, the block will start to make an obnoxious buzzing sound, as if it is trying to fall off the edge. I can fix it by placing a few blocks on top of it, but I just thought I should let you know.

Great game! Cant wait to see what you think of next!
