ok, rafael, way to FAIL. how do you brick a psp running a plugin from the memory stick? you obviously don't know what you're doing. it's not the plugin's problem, it's you. dont ever post anything like that again. ever. you FAIL.

Yourfatness, I noticed SOME of those, the sound only comes from headphones and speakers the moment it's on it's highest, once turned down 1 and back up it works fine, HOLD works fine for me.
And I got a 2200mAh battery, this baby at 100% can last me around 10-13 hours. ^.^

Also, despite the problems, plugin does still appear to work.

So using this will really get the use out of your headphones! I enable this in both game and vsh to Pops!
I can't believe this version 1 wasn't on PSP-hacks already?
"the speakers and my headphones playing together on my psp"
Thats intense lol xD I never thought that was even possible :s

How to fix it, put the volume down 1 then up 1...
all fixed.

Also, for people that do not hear a difference, I'd say this plugin only gives 20-30% of a sound boost... which doesnt mean a WHOLE lot. I mean, its nice, and it is indeed louder, but it would be easy to not hear it.
Take two PSP's, have the plugin running on one, and the other one without. You'll hear the difference.

Sounds like the plugin was irrelevant because Spydr has a tenacious external speaker system. I'd like to hear from someone who just tests it out of the PSP

There is no way this can brick your PSP unless you are a complete dick.
If you manage to brick your psp by installing something like this then you probably deserve it.

did i do something wrong
is this the correct line to put in vsh/game
ms0:/seplugins/audioboost.prx 1
Reply
Then make a text document called vsh and add a line that says ms0:/seplugins/audioboost.prx 1

definitely soundslouder, but uses up more battery.
wothout this plugin active, dayviewer reads 8 hoursfully charged, and when it's active, it absorbs 3 hours...
also, it is always enabled. it would be nice if it had a disable/enable function.
and when i use headphones, it only goes up to 27, no matter what i do.

most plugins are made for 5.50 or 5.00m33-6,
so you should ask the author to support 5.03.

Just some notes on my experience with this plugin,
-i extracted it to seplugins, and added the following line to both the vsh.txt and game.txt files:
ms0:/seplugins/audioboost.prx 1
-the hold+r thing would conk the sound out and i had to decrease/increase the volume by 1 and it would make sound again.
-after more testing i didn't notice anything, then i started using headphones and i was pretty impressed. To really test this out i had to disable the plugin in the recovery menu, boot into the cfw and then play the mp3. Remembering how the volume was, i then rebooted into the recovery menu, enabled the plugin, went back to the cfw and then played the same mp3. It really is about 20-30% increase in volume with this plugin.
-when i tried this with the headphones, it wouldnt let me reach the top 3 volume bars, but then i figured out whenever i plugged in the headphones the equalizer would switch to pops, so i just hit the music note button to select "none" while my headphones were plugged in, and when it was set to that, the volume bar went all the way to the top.
-with all that done, now i don't think home+r is enableing/disabling this, because the volume seems to stay the same, but you know what that is fine with me because i dont want to have to hit home+r to enable this, i have a hard time hearing so its kind of cool its always enabled via the recovery menu.
-i also notice that it is louder without the headphones, but its hard to say for certian.
-on a reboot after enabling the plugin in the recovery menu i need to change the volume -/+ 1 or else nothing comes out, but after that change, with the plugin enabled i can reboot and its like everything is louder still
-i think home+r is working now because the sound is stopping and i have to lower raise the volume.
-i think when the volume is set to the MAX, as high as it can go, and you reboot, you will have to mess with the volume settings to get it to make sound when you turn the system on again. However, if you reboot it when it is set at MAX-1 (one bar below max volume), then the sound works fine when i reboot it.
i gotta say this is an awesome little plugin that i will definately be using, it needs some small bugs ironed out, but it does what i need: boost the volume. It would be nice to see what else the cool person who made this can do for this plugin, and to them: thanks alot!

Please support 5.03 GEN C so we can use this plugin.
Thank you.

the volume only goes up to 27 if you use any other sound distortion rather than "none".
and this plugin uses waaaaay too much ram(i think it shorts the battery by 3 hours).
still a nice plugin, though i really wish the author would add an enable/disable function.
