PSP MAME4ALL v4.9r2 Hires Released

TTYman continues his crusade of reviving the classic arcade games we've all grown to love. With support for more than 1200 roms you'll soon find yourself in a time warp -- skipping school, the hazy smoke filled room, cigarette burns on the arcade panel, and the crooked sketchy dude wearing the green visor & stained wife beater. Ah, the memories. Thanks TTYman!

Sadly one of my childhood favourites -- WWF WrestleFest, as depicted above -- isn't in the supported games list (gamelist.txt). It may still work; I've yet to try. Please standby. PSP MAME4ALL v4.9r2 Hires changelog:

Usermode builds now works.
Dipswitches settings added.
Some Z80 core speedups.
Vector based games like Asteroids now run at native resolution of 480×272 pixels.
Preliminary memory management to clean-up things in certain romset (due to original MAME bugs) before starting a new emulation.
In case of memory fragmentation errors emulator now quits without lockups.
Better sound support in certain games, like Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles etc.
Graphics themes disabled in 1.50 kernel mode to gain more memory available, used a simple blue gradient instead.
Graphics mode saved with settings.

Well this is the better release.alot of games that didnt work in the last version work now,but i cant get yie ar kung fu,gauntlet,pap erboy or ms pacman to work.if u have it working please email me at gipson707@hotma il.com.also on certain roms (popeye,double dragon,trojan)n eed 2 files to work does anyone know why.anyway the best update to this emulator yet.keep up the good work.

you're absolutely right, WWF SuperStar was/is better. I have both on my Arcade Legends machine. Have you tried the roms with this emu yet?

Not yet...still mucking around with getting most roms to work. Sega's Wrestle War works (best w/ no music)...cheap AI but still a fun wrestling game...

There's a document called 'gamelist' which shows all working games for this emulator...mk and dk work....doesn't look like simpsons does yet...experiment with other games not on the list...maybe some will work...

yeah i wouldn't mind Mortal kombat too. taht games great. i still find emulation of Capcom games on PSPCPS1 or PSPCPS2 better tho

I'm struggling on 3.71 M33-2 also. Is there an easy to follow guide somewhere for this? The included instructions are complicated and seem to assume a lot of prior knowledge.

tested turtles,salaman der and others runs good at near full speed,but with sound disabled.some of my roms dont work like outrun and super hangon and would love to know if anyone else got any of those games working? will mame get media engine support or rom cache.

I've learned you can't rely on the list. The only game I know for sure works is the bootleg version of Double Dragon...

Well guys,ive downloaded a pack like for 1,026 Roms and most of them are working with this new emu.Im running on 3.52M33-4 though.As for Mortal Kombat series i havent got them to run.I have the roms for Killer Instinct and WWF games but i guess they have to be edited or something cause there a few mb.As for Rygar,Robocop,T MNT,Galaga,Kara te Champ,Commando, Lifeforce,Contr a and much much more are working sweet! I really beg for TTYman to find a way to get WWF Wrestlefest to work or any MK or KI game cause those classics cant miss and would be a charm to play.Would be even nicer to play adhoc and do some Fatalities !

I tried this, the program runs, but my ROM's that I have working perfectly in Windows with Mame Plus! (they are .zip files) open and then say "Unable to initialize machine emulation"

Ah-ha! I didn't install the 1.50 kernal v2 update to get this working on my phat PSP 3.71 m33-3... now it works great (so does all my old 1.5 homebrews again!)

I got this to work on my 3.71 M33-3, but its slow and choppy as hell, I upped the MHz to 333 and increased the CPU over 100%, my question is, is this what you have to do to get this emulation working properly, or am i doing somthing wrong?

i've tried all the different versions of this emu-none of them works on my slim 6.35 Pro-B. it alwways freezes @ the game selection screen. What a shame, I really wanted this emu to work!
