PSP Custom Firmware 6.35 PRO-B3 Released

First, my heart goes out to all the families who've lost their loved ones in Japan. Second, Virtuous Flame, aka Liquidzigong, has released 6.35 PRO-B3, and again no change log accompanies this release, so I'm not sure what's changed exactly. Leave a comment if you know. Otherwise get updated because it's probably for the best. First ensure your PSP is running firmware 6.35. Then run 6.35 PRO-B, followed by the B3 update. You're all set! Enjoy. PRO B3 is basically better than TN-D now. Not only does it have even better plugin support, it allows the debug-type I and II within the fake region option in the recovery mode, which is basically your PSNlover plugin built-in, thus allowing you on the PSN without exception when activated.

And like what someone else has said before, you are now able to swap the O and X buttons as your confirm and deny buttons. It even works within games and fits perfectly fine. If you try a japanese game that has already the swapped buttons layout, it will remain the same. I am still looking for a plugin of some sort that will allow me to switch it within those games.

I'm not entirely sure if it's a new feature, but it now allows you to enable USB mode via recovery mode instead of being in USB mode via PSP menu.

I'm not entirely sure what else has been added as I've only noticed better plugin support and a few more recovery mode options. I'm not even sure if I have any more features I want added. The Prometheus ISO Loader already allows me to load every single game that I want thanks to the primary update, PRO B1, for adding the M33 Driver. I thank Liquidzigong for the updates thus far.

I'm also sorry for what has happened in Japan. It's pretty sad..

This CFW along with the Prometheus ISO Loader found on this site allows you to play any ISO on your PSP. When CFW is installed, you press select on your PSP menu and a VSH menu will pop up. Going to UMD ISO MODE and switching between Sony NP9660 and M33 Driver depending on which game you are playing will allow you to load any ISO you want.

There is also plugin support along with a recovery menu with plenty of features as I mentioned in my other post.

And thus, it should load just fine on your PSP 3006 once you put the 6.35 Update under the folders PSP then GAME.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 6.35 OFW FIRST. If you are higher than that version, you can't use this. If you are lower, then update to it by downloading it on this site if you choose to use this, which I recommend.

TN-D Still wins for functionality as it works in memory on the 2k's-3k's, this still needs you to load up 2 eboots before being at the firmware.

Admin can you please tell us why we should install first the Pro-B first before B3? Because i install always the latest Update without the first pro-b.. and i never encountered any problems until now..

I wanna know please.. Maybe i missed something that is risky to my PSP if i don't activate first the Pro-B before Pro-B3..

Actually, it only loads 1. Unless you're counting the 'brew you're playing. The other is so you don't have to fiddle with pressing X repeatedly in the installer.

You actually need Prometheus ISO Loader for games? I have yet to come across that issue. All of my legit ISOs that I ripped with ISO Tool when my slim was using M33 work fine. I haven't wasted a moment on that ISO loader since B1.

The battery still works, insofar as it forces the PSP to look for an IPL on the memory stick. You'd need a SIGNED Magic Memory Stick, though.

Couldn't get any of my ps1 games to work on 6.35 pro b2 and according to the changelog, this bug doesn't appear to have been fixed. It affects only a very few users and because I was one of the unfortunate few I have reverted to a 5.50 based cfw.

There's a limit to what games work for it. If you are playing a game that's not in the list of working games that is shown where you download the plugin, you won't get results.

If you are playing a game that is supported, make sure you have reset the firmware by using the quick recovery feature that is provided in the 6.35 PRO B3 download. If it still doesn't work, I'm not sure why it's not working. You could ask in the forums and explain exactly what you did or explain to me exactly what you did. Hopefully someone else may know what went wrong.

This, although MAGNIFICENT, makes me happy I have a 1001 with 5.00 M33-4. I play all the new games and all ps1 games, that's why I have a psp.

I will get a 3000 when there is a permanent hack, they have that wonderful a/v out.

it shows up as corrupted when i use my PSP

Be wary, used this mainly for Gods Eater Burst and now whenever I use my D-Pad on any game played via MS it goes haywire. I press up once and, for example, the title menu of Gods Eater goes all the way up and then if I press down all the way down. It's not my D-Pad because it doesn't do it in the XMB...just be cautious. Those curious I'm using a PSP-1000...gonna go to 5.00 M33 Pro-4

Yes it does. For all models. But this firmware isn't permanent and most people on here would recommend that you downgrade.

But it's your choice. :)

probably because of the plugins you have on your current CFW... go into the recovery mode using R trigger held on start up to enter there, then go to plugins and disable them all.

I have a FAT psp 1000. I followed the instructions and upgraded to 6.35.Then I ran Pro-B2. It installed and I could see all my games. I played a game. Shut down and restarted. Now the games are gone and I have to reload the Pro-B2 to get the games back.
Did I miss something? Like I'm supposed to run the Pro-B2 every time I shut down?

Well this one is supposed to give more support for more recent games without needing to patch or use plugin,but it isn't permanent and is possibly buggier since it's newer, so if you have no problems with your 5.5+prome, then don't update

Got a broken analog stick, I use macrofire to reroute the controls to the directional keys. But to play dissidia, i have to turn off the plugins, otherwise the screen just goes black... Im using GEN D3, also tried on Prome-2 but didnt work...

what do you mean directly? it is said that install pro-b first and then the pro-b3 update, btw the pro-b is bigger than the pro-b3 update too. I dont understand how to update? becouse if i copy the folder to game folder it is exactly named like the pro-b. should i replace the pro-b3 with the pro-b folder?

I just got a new PSP go and i updated it to 6.37. I'm not able to play the iso's. Please let me know that when will the psp go firmware 6.37 hack come?

i was using the hen and prom loader on 6.35.gave this a try,works well with iso and cso BUT very few ps1/psx games are working (more so with the resident evil games,the biggest attraction for me to use cfw).i have frustratingly downloaded about 3 or4 different versions of res 2 and 3,not too fussed about 1st.i am hoping, kinda, that its the games and not the cfw but any help would be fantastic.
also relatively new at modding scene but not totally dumb to it.

yes you can these days you will need to use a pandora battery for all psp 1000 downgrades (as well as older 2000 models)
you used to use games to initate but that was risky

after a decade maybe? but i doubt it will since security from 6.3x fw are high and hard to crack it would risk a lot of PSP's(non pandora capable) to test so just stick to hen which is a lot safer that is if you havent clumsily updated to 6.37....

try to update to 5.50 GEN-D3 then Prom-4.... its quite more stable and a lot of games is playable....

yes... I feel you its anoing none of the res3 works I've been searching a lot and found a lot of NOT working res3 games. Though in the end I won and found a working one. Here you go just download the 2 parts unzip and play. Btw I just made a acount so I could tell you this. I have a feeling residentevil is as imortant for u as it is for me.

This is great hack. Very fast to change between ofw and cfw. Even Invizimals Shadow Zone and psp-450 go!cam are working.

is it possible to update from 6.35 PRO to 6.35 PRO-B3 straight away without the need to update from 6.35 PRO-A then 6.35 PRO-B3?
And is psp 3004 suitable for this update?

Ive recently had to reformat my memory stick and I copied my savegame data for ffix and when I reinstalled to 6.35 PRO-B3 and put save data back in save folder it no longer reads the save point in game..-Does anyone know anything I can do or is it just lost.
