PSP Custom Firmware 6.20 and 6.35 PRO-B5 Released Updated

Liquidzigong and Coldbird are back for the fifth round -- it's PSP Custom Firmware 6.20 and 6.35 PRO-B5, compatible with all PSP models, should your PSP be running OFW 6.20 or 6.35. Install either or and everything Sony denies you, PRO-B5 grants you. The complete PRO CFW feature list is huge -- so huge we had to list it on the download page. You'll find PRO-B5 is mostly comprised of bug fixes, improving overall stability and compatibility. The full feature list is the most appealing and for that jump to the 6.20 or 6.35 download page. Just curious how many psp's this file is tested on before its released? Only reason I'm asking is because as I scroll down I keep reading. Doesn't work, Wont work etc. Don't get me wrong we are extremely grateful for all the work thats put into it and it makes us happy. But I find it hard to believe that so many people are having an issue with it.

i try 6.20prob5 in 2 psp go 5g models and work perfect,here is what i did b4 intall.i remove the 6.20prob4 permant,boot psp while you hold select,start,x and o.this will remove permanet,run 6.20pro5 update and uninstall,this will remove prob4,run 6.20pro5 update and install it,run permanent and thats it.

6.20 PRO-B5 and the permanent patch work just fine on my PSP-3000 (Model: 04g). If you were on permanent PRO-B4 before, make sure you uninstall the permanent patch first, and then uninstall PRO-B4 too. Just use PRO-B5's EBOOT's to perform the uninstallations .

Then you're technically back to stock 6.20. Just install PRO-B5, and then the permanent patch. And it's all working just fine.

6.20 PRO-B5 with permanent patch working fine on both my PSP Go and PSP-1001.
I don't understand how people are having problems with this. Are you guys making sure to uninstall B4 first?

I AGREE!! i tried it and after it wrote all of the new moduals and stuff to flash 0 the memory stick usage indicator just kept blinking and it never turned off for me.......
i had to uninstall and go back to PRO-B4

Uninstalled 6.35 PRO B4, load the updater (not the fast recovery), run CFW by pressing X and I get a black screen here.
PSP 3001, 09g.
Seems like a common problem?
Guess I'll go back to PRO B4 until this is figured out.

true the go is no longer being made and no new orders are going to be filled in japan. but with ngp due out by christmas im shure the 3000 model is gonna be next. so psp will probly only see games threw 2012 and that will be it. i just hope they can price the ngp the same as the 3ds so they can smoke nintendo this time.

There was A PROBLEM on my PSP 3001, 08G: When I executed this CFW, the PSP was only on black screen and the DUO card only is flashes, stop, flashes, stop...

That forces me to turn the PSP off.
All the system CFG was corrupted, and I needed to redo everythong on CFG.

Going back to PRO-B4...

PSP Go owns older PSPs. Why would you need UMD when you have ISOs? Plus, Bluetooth for when you wanna play games on the go online (with your 3G phone of course).

Use ofw 6.35 to update your PSP. Download all 6.35 PRO till now. Don't download B5 it's buggy.
Install in order and your done. 6.35 PRO only works on OFW 6.35.

If you have the perm patch for b4 on,

1.Run the patcher again to uninstall it.

2.Then SHUT OFF your psp, turn it on, run b5 and herpin n derpin.

If you're using the cfw without the patch on, repeat step 2.

Hey, you should try neurons 6.38v2. I've used 5.00m33 since I first got my slim. I tried 6.38v1 then v2 and I haven't found anything so far that I even needed to patch to play. My 6.xx plug-ins still work & it even has iso mount. Oh, if you use timemachine, 6.38me will boot from nand, after setting config.txt of course. Don't try to backflash from a back-up in H.R Flasher though, bricked me all three times. Backflash to a fresh install works perfect though.

leave the sdk folder in the rar archive, thats for development purposes usually. all else put on psp. hope this helps you out.

Installed on Brite3g. Xmb is slow & laggy and have lost all psx loading. Back to Pro-B4, maybe tomorrow, lol.
Edit: After installing fixed file PSX loading is back and no more lag. Way to go guys!

Of course it could work like that, but it's always better to uninstall any previous version when installing a newer one. You don't lose anything anyway.
Beside, many other guys with both 2000's and 3000's encountered issues, so I thought it'd be good to mention that.

I seem to be having a problem with the 6.20 Pro-B5 on my PSP3001 already. It seems as though my games have been multiplied 4x and it now shows that I have 56 games when I have 14

Anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: It seems aLoader (prx) was messing with the CFW. I disabled it and it works like it should again.

what hen or cfw did you had before b5? if you made xmb icons with iso tool, thats the problem cause CFW PRO doesn't need that because it do that by itself, so if you had them its normal that the games are duplicated, just go to your memory stick PSP/GAME and delete all the games shortcuts folders.

6.20 PRO-B5 working great on my psp 2001. though I still can't figure out how to get popsloader to work... I have a bunch of popsloader plugins from 5.50 but they don't seem to load even though they're enabled. I don't get the menu. same with 6.20 TN-E. does anyone know where to get pops that work on 6.xx?

also, PSP Go *is* still being made and sold in NA regions, sony confirmed it. and I think the Go is still the best. you can still buy UMD's, keep them new in box, and go download the iso for it. :) that's what I do on my 2001. (hopefully getting a Go soon) that way you own the game and you've got a nice new in box investment for your wall shelf ;)

yeah, I read somewhere that hackers were DDoS'ing PSN due to sony's recent actions against PS3 hacking. but in reality it was effecting customers moreso.

they said they stopped DDoS'ing but I don't know why it's still down. I'm still getting a 80550403 error, and I read some forums posts yesterday saying it was still down.

This kind of sucks, in 6.20 PRO B4, u could go on psn store and play psn games online, but now it doesnt do any of that, i just get an error connecting to PSN... On the other hand im assuming this update supports more plugins, such as profile manager (didnt work in b4)

The sleep mode/memory stick removal trick only works for a song or two and then the screen flickers/sound crackles

6.35PRO-B5 works fine 4 my PSP Go N1001. Not sure about the sdk folder (i did not copy them). Does the access to the PSPStore should work? I´m think mine insn´t.

for everyone who keeps saying over and over and over OMFG WHAT ABOUT SDK FOLDER?!?!?!?!?!? and not bothering to read comments, just leave it where it is. you dont need them

also if anybody has an issue on 6.35 where the stupid thing locks up after running the pro updater and crashes when you try to run anything, just backup your plugins folder on your computer and delete it from your psp and everything should work just fine. its what i had to do on mine.

It is hackable. Download the 6.20 PRO B-5 and copy the PROUPDATE folder and 620PRO Permanent folder to PSP/GAME and then run PROUPDATE first then the permanent

6.35 firmware doesn't have a power kernel exploit yet meaning there is no bug in the firmware that allows permanent firmware as of today. Look for a way to downgrade your psp to 6.20. Good luck

I´ve got a PSP 3004 8D with original Firmware 5.03.

So my question is, is this the right thing for me and how do I use it?

I want to:

- Enabel Custom Programs (PDF Viewer,Comic Reader, etc.)
- Use Emulators like SNES9x and others for classic games
- Play my old PSX/PSone games
- Play my "saved" ISOS

So is this a permanent hack without the risk to "brick" the PSP?

all updating steps were folowed by me bt at the end while updating ofw at 89% an error cam my psp got hanged i closed it by removing battery bt when i tried to switch it on only green light appears n after about 1 min it also vanishes while charging yellow light also appears bt screen black nothing appears

The ONLY thing I didn't like about mine was the ergonomics of the controls are worse - glad the Vita is returning to side controls.
