PSP CFW 6.35 PRO-B2 Released

Submitted by greg; March 04, 2011

And you thought it was 6.20 TN-D, maybe next post. Liquidzigong and Coldbird release PSP Custom Firmware 6.35 PRO-B2, which is served as an update only. So first you should install PSP OFW 6.35, then CFW 6.35 PRO-B, then this B2 update. It's compatible with all PSP models. What's new? No idea... Probably bug fixes and whatnot. The cited source does not detail any of that and there is no read me included. Holler if you know. Update: And the change log says...
  • [!] PSP Go can now resume paused PS1 EBOOTs
  • [+] New Recovery Menu Option to prevent PSP Go Savestate Deletion
  • [+] New Recovery Menu Option to disable Analog Stick (to prevent broken Analog Sticks from ruining your game)
  • [+] Heavily improved Plugin Compatiblity (give your previously unworking stuff a try)
  • [+] Added Recovery Menu Entry to XMB Menu
You can resume paused PS1 EBOOTs on PSPgo now -- that's pretty cool! Cheers to seth parker for the changes. Download: PSP Firmware Update (OFW) 6.35 PSPgo | PSP-XXXX PSP Custom Firmware 6.35 PRO-B PSP Custom Firmware 6.35 PRO-B2 Update - source: pro.coldbird.co.cc

Installed this, here's what I've seen so far:
- Game Categories Light works! Even for ISOs folder!
- CXMB works without crash now
- Recovery Menu
- Better PS1 support (Tony Hawk 2 crashed on pro-b, works now)

oh and also as I read you don't exactly have to install Pro-B before
you can just jump straight on to B2 from OFW6.35
but you can still install it beforehand if you want as a precautionary

all these releases are great from both tn and colbird/vflame i just wish all this drama would end and these guys release 2 projects working together. a 6.20 and a 6.35 tnpro would be sick. really guys think about it you are the best why attack each other when you could create such beautiful work together

Anyone know if remote joy lite works on this one? I couldn't get it to work on 6.35 pro-b. It was also pretty buggy.

Update: Remote Joy lite V.19 works great. 6.35PRO-B2 actually fixes the bugs I had last time.

- Virtuous Flame (Liquidzigong) & Coldbird never attacked Total-Noob. In fact they had made some credits to all the Devs:

**Acknowledge**

***Total_Noob: For the initial discovery of the Power-Kernel-Exploit in 6.20 OFW.

***Coldbird: For initial reverse of the TN Kernel Exploit, Hacks to make it 6.3X compatible and several other things
CFW related.

***VirtuousFlam e (Liquidzigong): For the ISO Loading Code, Custom PSX EBOOT Support and most of the CFW related code.

***Mathieulh

***Geohotz

***TPU

***And everyone else involved for making PSP signing possible, making the Minna No Sukkiri Exploit redundant.

***Dark_Alex for the initial M33 CFW who guided us mentally through several CFW generations by giving good examples
on how to patch Sony OFW.
Davee for his v1 register leak address discovery used in Power-Argument-Patching.

***victor.rds for the cool animated Fast Recovery Icon.

***Takka and Plum for their idea of preventing hibernation deletion.

***And last but not least... Sony for making a wonderful, however very locked down, portable gaming handheld.

- I think Total-Noob is just a crybaby because 6.35 PRO is much better than 6.20 TN.

Game categories works now... But GPSP is broken. I load a rom, and the screen goes "corrupt", the wlan light turns on, and the laser in the UMD tray starts moving back and forth like crazy. FFVII (PSX) still won't start a new game.

Go to your "ISO" folder on the root of your memory card and make a folder with whatever name you want the category to be named. Then, place your isos in that folder, they should appear after that.

It seems to load itself and apps a bit faster too. And I haven't noticed any random crashes when enabling the option to disable gameboots. The above mentioned Recovery Menu is sexy too. ;-) Would've posted sooner, but I haven't been around scene for a little while. Oh, and it loads/runs DaedalusX64 Beta 3 flawlessly. ;-)

EDIT: Didn't see the changelog bit about the plugins. Yes! I hope that noumd.prx works now. :-) I love that thing. Heh.

Just run the PRO-B2 installer. It'll say something about installing with the X button. Press it to allow it to flash itself, then press X again when it asks you to, and finally wait for it to reboot. Done. And if you don't feel like going through that bit the next time, put the Fast Recovery on there and you can delete the original installer.

Yeah, I noticed that the Unofficial gpSP doesn't work either. *sighs* It crashes while attempting to load a ROM. I've gotten DaedalusX64, SNES9x Euphoria, MasterBoy, and NesterJ to run without any problems though.

1. Attach a USB cable and copy over 6.35 PRO-B2 and 6.35 Fast Recovery.
2. Disable ALL plugins or delete SEPLUGINS entirely.
3. Run 6.35 PRO-B2.
4. Press X on the screen that appears, X again when it's finished, and wait for the reboot.
5. Delete the 6.35 PRO-B2 installer. You don't need it with 6.35 Fast Recovery until PRO gets another update.

agreed. competion make us get better cfw. total newb kept us alive in the 5.50 era we where stuck on for way to long. but thanks to new expolits and sonys slipup we can sighn stuff and lose the need for expolits. and it brought us out on the 5x era of constantly hacking it to act like 6x and the bugs that where plaging that. he kept us going in a dead scene and he always gets points there. but crying couse the 6x devs are better isnt something he should be doing.

I had installed this cfw in psp. Once while playing dead or alive suddenly my brother removed the memorystick and even tried to exit it from the home menu. then it showed please wait and it got stuck , then i removed the battery then when i switched it on again all the iso games in ms had gone. No other games are also working. And even the cfw got removed
