PSP 6.35 Custom Firmware Updates Updated

Just a quick update to let you know both neur0n and Liquidzigong, aka Virtuous Flame, have released new versions of their respective custom firmwares: PSP CFW 6.35 v10 for Slim (non-v3) only, and PSP CFW 6.35 PRO-A1 for all models. The change log for each custom firmware can be found on their download page -- they're mostly bug fixes and other improvements. You should definitely update if you're using either or. Update: It's another round of updates for both CFW's -- neur0n's at ~~v11~~ v12 and Liquidzigong is at A2 A3. Change logs follow on the download page. Download: neur0n's PSP CFW 6.35 v12 Liquidzigong's PSP CFW 6.35 PRO-A3

Thanks for the updates, although there seems to be a problem with 6.35PRO A1. It's the same as previous versions. It doesn't support emulators that well. Also I don't see the memory in GPSP kai 64mb. I have a PSPgo, unless i've missed that pspgo doesn't have 64mb ram. Also Snes9x TYL doesn't work. I hope the bugs are fixed.

I just want to know, UMD games still doesn't work on this firm?

I'm thinking on update to it, I'm using 6.35 PRO (HEN), but this matter is still worrying me. I know there's a "remove custom firmware" option on it but writing and erasing from flash0 it doesn't seem very "healthy" to my PSP.

no sparta wont, will if u use the uninstall tho, dont think these prx's can hurt ur flash installing and uninstalling, not possitive tho, just read it, psn games still broke, im thinking of just doing pro reg cause all worked wth out uninstalling anything or writing to flash, other then playing some games the other wanted, i still get currupt icons in xmb for some games too, im wondering if the cons dont outway the pros in this compared to 635 reg

running 6.35 pro-a1 on a 3001 4g, everything is running great. I upgraded from 6.20 tn-c, all my ISO's (100 i have checked so far are loading) more are loaded now than with 6.20 tn-c. Some that refused to load at all.) I am just needing to check what plug-ins people are using, cxmb, cheat engines and other. Instead of flogging this, why no give some of the pro before the cons. Honestly unless 6.20 TN-D is released I'm gonna stick with this for running home-brews and my "saved games". Thanks go to the makers of this.

so i noticed for all you ppl with currupt icons... and this might not apply to all but all the cso i tried and were currupt i decompressed them to iso and they ran fine again, only game i have not got to work so far was prince of persia sands of time and i havent had any luck getting it to play on any firmware that i can use so no worries.... hope this helps some of you

Yes impossible, Just like signing homebrew for the PSP was. If they find a way, like lets say to sign firmware updates, then yes it could be possible to get a CFW running on all PSP models.

I got 6.20TN-C the VCSCheatdevice v2.4 prx running no problems accept I cant mod police cars any more.

I got LCSCheatdevice v10g running but not very well very glitchy and keeps freezing game.

Try decompressing one back to ISO to see whether or not it's the games themselves not working.

Yeah. I couldn't get ISO Tool to work with anything other than custom firmware 5.00 M33, 5.50 GEN, or 6.35 Custom (the first link at the top). It doesn't seem to work on the HEN firmware for some reason. *shrugs* By the way, there's a 1.965 out now if you're interested.

Recently after upgrading to GEN D3, I have been faced with an annoying (but not critical) bug were the X and O buttons swap. On the XMB it is normal where X is to confirm and O is to cancel, but as soon as the game launches, they swap and I don't know why.

yes, just use Nand Managaer v0.5, make a Nand dump, update to 6.35 test the cfw if you don't like just restore your old nand and you will be back on your old cfw,(gen-d3 one) XP

Ummm, this is a light CFW, meaning it's not permanent, so if you restart your PSP, it reverts back to OFW

It should. I know the PSP can read 32GB, because I have a photofast cr-5400 microSD to PRO Duo adapter and my PSP has no problems with it. I've never heard of a PRO-HG card before though.

I say downgrade to 6.20 if you can and use tn-c with iso-tool. works just as good if not better. m33 driver works. and pops support coming in tn-d. what more could you want really?

anyone wanting to get m33 working with iso-tool on 6.20 tn let me know and ill post how i made it work.

There is an error in VHS menu, when I choose 'Hide PIC- Enable' the game name appear, and when I choose 'Hide PIC- Disable' the game name disappear.

What I did to make the M33 driver work with:
PSP 3000 - 6.20 TN-C - iso tool 1.965
1. Find isofs_500.prx.
Google or extract it from OFW 5.00 using
prxdecrypter.
2. Install this to the folder:
ms0:\PSP\GAME\i so_tool\DATA\PI L_v2
3. Restart PSP, and HEN.
4. Press SELECT once HEN is loaded.
5. Make sure you have “Skip GAMEBOOT” disabled.
6. Now restart VSH(not sure if necessary but I did it)
7. When loading your game press and hold L trigger
when the PSP screen pops-up.
8. Good Luck

Unfortunately i cant enjoy the new CFW of 6.35 because my brother made a big mistake! he update our PSP sSLIM 3001 from 6.35>6.37 and now i am suffering because of my brothers fault :( BUt i am still hoping that the new PSP HACK DEVELOPERS will do something about this :( If possible i am requesting the DEVELOPERS to make a downgrader from 6.37>6.35 and so on. or Kindly Make a 6.37 CFW [But i am not forcing you^_^ And yeah! i know its hard to do all of those encoding etc etc,] I am hoping that after 3-5 months there will be a 6.37 CFW or just a downgrader :) I love you PSP-HACKS even though i didnt experience this BIG UPDATES! by the way as i said, I am hoping that there will be a next BIG UPDATE for us who have problems in 6.37 :)

Read the readme that comes with it. Also know that the PRO firmwares are a lite firmware and not a permanent install like the 6.35 custom v12 is....

Ran into the same thing even though I had use version.txt off. (Wonder how many other options in the GEN recovery menu actually work if it doesn't toggle a simple option like that) You have to goto Flash0 then vsh and edit the version.txt to say anything under 6.35 or I guess deleting it completely would work also.

Put EBOOT.PBP on the path MS:\PSP\GAME\UP DATE

it is because the version.txt says it is FW9.90. You can go to recovery menu and toggle the USB device to Flash0 then go to VSH->etc and change the version.txt to say "release:6.37:

Doing this will make your psp think it is fw version 6.37. This might not let you install cfw6.35 for the same reason as it thinking it is 9.90 so I would say you should use a pandora battery to install new cfw without going through the update process.

1. restart psp -> go to recovery menu->go to advance->connect psp to PC->select option->toggle usb flash 0-> On pc->select the usb device->open vsh -->etc folder->open version.txt ->change first line release:9.90 to release:5.50 -> save txt -> restart psp now install firmware.

Here's what you should do:
Get a pandora battery and a magic memory stick and flash it back to 5.00 m33-4 then update it directly to 6.35 OFW then run the PRO A3.
If you update it to 5.50 GEN D3 it'll tell you that you're running 9.90

For those of you who have problems doing this, you must first go to your version.txt file, change the 9.90 to something like 5.50, and all the 990 numbers to 550, then save. From there, obtain the OFW from somewhere (google it). DL the file, put it in the "update" folder. Start PSP, flash the OFW 6.35. From there, remove the update, and then run the eboot for this CFW

Oh, and don't delete the version.txt file... it will mess up your system!

I moved ('deleted') the file, but when the PSP rebooted it gave a 'red screen of death' and stopped working before I got to the desktop. I moved it back after going to the recovery console again and afterwards I got into the desktop again.

I have 5.50 D3 loaded on my PSP1000.

So, don't really delete it to be safe!! Just move it to your local computer.
