Clearly Sony is very bitter with the US. Every chance they get they have taken a jab at the states. No Passport program, combined activation limit for the PSP and Vita, No more UMDs in the US market, branding new devisions to PS3 (PSN to SEN) to work around US laws and put into question all the letters people sent in not agreeing to "No Class Action Lawsuits", and the list keeps going if I could take time out to think about it.
Even in the new Resident Evil movie trailer Sony expresses their opinion by showing Japan as innovative and in the other side of the globe, only the US is dead and dying.

Thats how it is with me. People that use this as an excuse to not buy it are mostly just doing it to seem different or be anti corporation.
