More PSP Custom Firmwares - 6.35 PRO-A4 Includes PS1 Support Too!

It's another weekend blast of custom firmwares for your PSP... neur0n's CFW 6.35 and 6.37 have been updated, which are both comprised of bug fixes, while Liquidzigong's 6.35 PRO hit A4 and adds PS1 support, which is the real reason for this post. But before you get it twisted -- 6.35 PRO-A4 does not run ISOs ripped from a PS1 disc -- only PS1 games downloaded from PSN work currently. Also included with 6.35 PRO-A4 is a new recovery system called "Fast Recovery." Check it out. The full change log for each custom firmware can be found on their respective download page. according to the post, yes plays about all of the back ups I have. As well as plays about a dozen or so PSX game. I haven't tried CSO's cause I convert them to ISO's anyway. And yes as long as you are at 6.35 now. if your at 6.35 Pro a3, just load in your game directory and play it on the PSP. Good Luck

It said psp go n1000 brite for me too and I also have n1001, worked for me. Make sure you're on OFW and not running any HEN. Also, if you had a3 on there maybe run the a3 installer and uninstall by pressing triangle

I have no idea, they just are working. I put the psx eboots in the game folder and they started. They wouldn't even get to the ps1 splash screen before A4. And these are not PSN games. look for psx KloWn in your search

I'm pretty sure TN-C does not support PSN PS1 games, because I tried Silent Hill (USA) on it and it wouldn't start. Later I tried launching the exact same eboot on 6.35 PRO and it worked perfectly.

Just switched from TN-C to 6.35 PRO A4, and I must say I really like it! Awesome compatibility, can finally run Untold Legends without it crashing in my face like it did with prometheus and OpenIdea ISO loader.

Now all we need is POPs...

Upgrade your current firmware to 6.35 (OFW) then put the "635PROUPDATE" or "635FastRecovery" in ms0:/psp/game. After that go back to the XMB and into the game folder and run the updater. Follow the onscreen instructions unless you're using the fast recovery one which will install automatically.

v13 didn't brick my PSP, i just tryed my luck as i dont have a pandora battery. MHP3rd(with english patch 2.2) is working great on it. no iso loader needed or something. FINALLY MY FIRST FULL CUSTOM FIRMWARE WITHOUT THE NEED OF A PANDORA(i have pspslim that had installed 6.20, i tryed installing from there using XGEN updater and ALSO recovery flasher, no option to install CFW 550 and XGEN updater was not working, i didn't had a pandora so i could not flash m33->gen-d3 on my PSP)

I tried 2 downloaded PSX converted Eboots and 2 different PSX .iso/.bin files converted and I couldnt get either of them to work. Granted, I am on a PSP-3000 and maybe that has something to do with it.

On your system, do you have the seplugins folder with popsloader?

Remove the seplugins folder if you still have it, see if that works (worked for someone else who had a similar problem).

Wow... So many negative comments. I haven't tested this out yet, but thank you Liquidzigong. I have officially [finally] moved off of M33. Keep up the good work.

As for why you would use this... Well, CSO/ISO loading just works. Period. There's no stupid "Install this here", "Put that here" crap to deal with. It's fast. Once it's installed and running, it easily rivals M33 in terms of speed. And over TN-C? Heh. I haven't had it crash but ONE time and that was due to user error (it doesn't like some of the older plugins from the M33/GEN era). TN-C crashed so many times, it was stupid. As a matter of fact, after using TN-C and getting pissed at it, I actually flashed M33 back to my console.

I'm done ranting now. I do have a suggestion (if possible). Think you can make 6.35 PRO work correctly with ISO Tool (version doesn't matter, as I will download to match)? At the moment, it displays "?????" for the disc in the tray and doesn't copy them.

Forgot to add that I found a slight bug/typo in the loader for PRO A3. It says "Hold L to reinstall CFW". It should say "Hold L and press X to reinstall CFW". And technically, it should say HEN, but who's complaining? :-D

You run PRO A4 first to install the required files. PRO A4 requires you to press X twice to launch the HEN. By using the PRO Recovery, it launches the HEN instantly (like TN-C), but only if you have the files installed from PRO A4 in Flash0, otherwise it crashes the PSP.

I noticed that with the new CFW/HEN that are being released that plugins having been crashing the system like crazy. If it doesn't work, it's probly not going to with the CFW/HEN or plugin you have. For example, noumd.prx (I really miss this one) doesn't work on either the CFW or the HEN, but it doesn't crash the system either. Just do what I did and flip them on/off one at a time and see what works and doesn't work. PS: Make sure you're near a computer just in case you have to use the USB via the Recovery Menu or OFW temporarily. Had an issue I was testing out the other day and couldn't get in to change the plugin because I couldn't get into HEN due to the plugin causing it to crash. Also, test different versions of the plugin. Sometimes, they may work [better] with different versions.

That depends on whether you have a Pandora battery/memory stick you can use. If you have those, I suggest to give it a go. Who knows? You may end up liking it. Just note that the majority of your current plugins will probly crash your PSP, so turn those off first. If all else fails or you don't like it, you can always switch back to 5.50 Prome-4. As I mentioned somewhere else in this post, I left M33 to test out the PRO HEN and haven't looked back.

The Fast Recovery one will crash you if you don't run the PRO Updater first. Once you've run the Updater, you can delete it and use the Fast Recovery from then on.

You can just hold L and press X to install the new one over top of the old one. It'll rewrite the files in there.

As far as the version is concerned, I think it simply states the model type. My 2001 shows up as 2000. In other words, 1002 (if there is such a thing) would show up as 1000 and so forth.

I'm using TN-C on a Go and PSN PS1 games work fine. Are you working from internal memory or an M2 stick?

I'm using my M2 stick for all the official games I've downloaded (including PS1 games) and the internal memory for ISO's if that helps.

You could also try turning off plugins and see if that helps.

Been out of the loop for a bit. Would someone be kind enough to give me a brief step by step on how to go from an unsigned 6.31 Pro on a pspgo to 6.35 Pro A-4. I'm guessing I have to somehow update my pspgo to OFW 6.35. (I'm a little sketchy on how to do that on a go model). Yes it works with the TA-088v3 (pandora-less 2k's). You should upgrade to 6.20 and run TN-C.

There is a 6.20 downgrader to 5.03 if you want to go back.
There is also a 6.35 downgrader to 6.20 if you try this.

Yes the 6.35/6.20 downgrader works on unhackable 2k's and 3k's (as long as you don't go under 5.03 whilst downgrading).
