Making Waves With Your PSP

Submitted by HolmesInFive; May 06, 2012

The PSP has had its share of VSH customization, with the PSPGo Clock being ported to standard PSP models (bar the 1000 series).  Today I'm bringing you an old hack being carried out on a newer firmware.  Enjoy!

Some of you may remember modding your PSP's waves in the flash0 a while back, to either get something unique and different for a wave, or to get PS3 waves on your PSP.  This video tutorial I have put together will show exactly how to carry out these steps on a newer and stable firmware, CFW 6.60 PRO-B10 (note this can be done on most custom firmwares in the same method bar a few different settings).

I know this is an old hack, however I previously thought this was only possible on older firmwares.

All download links are in the description of the video!

this method is not safe, especially for those who don't know what they are doing. best way is to use the ZERORCO plugin.

1- install zerorco_patcher .prx like all other plugins

2- make a folder inside the SEPLUGINS folder and call it RCO

3- put the wave you like (it's system_plugin_b g.rco) in RCO folder

4- Laughing enjoy both classic and original backgrounds

*

5- you can put any .rco file you like in the RCO folder to replace the one in FLASH0. ex: gameboot

IF YOU CHANGE THEMES AFTER YOU MESS WITH FLASH0 --- YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PSP 3000.

use this hack with extreme caution. its a cool thing but one not worth messing with. with no pandora battery for the 3000 you have to install this hoping you can get to the recovery menu. most of the PSP units i've tried to fix since this post was made are now bricks. i would advise everyone not to do this hack.
