Homebrew Enabler for PSP 6.31 and 6.35 Released

Like zeh said, I was sleeping... But what a wonderful thing to wake up to this morning: Virtuous Flame and Coldbird's Homebrew Enabler! This HEN release is for users left in the dark at firmware 6.31 or 6.35. Now you too can enjoy the fun that is PSP Hacks! And yes -- Prometheus ISO Loader works. And no -- no downgrading yet. HEN for 6.31 / 6.35 Installation

Download and unzip the appropriate HEN version for your PSP firmware below
Download and unzip Half Byte Loader R112 for Minna no Sukkiri
- Copy the "hbl" directory and the "h.bin" file to the root of your device
Download and unzip the Minna no Sukkiri PSP Demo
- Unzip UCJS10094.zip (the SAVEDATA exploit) and copy to PSP/SAVEDATA
Replace HBL's "hbl/menu/EBOOT.PBP" with the appropriate HEN version
Start up Minna no Sukkiri and enjoy!

did you change the driver in the prometheus iso loader with select-button?
for me only the sony NP9660 driver works....the m33 driver exits to the xmb

I updated to 6.35 on my phat just to see if this works. It works and I'm quite thrilled. Dragonball Tag is working! Also, I'm able to play online in infrastructure mode with SOCOM.

I'm contemplating if I should update my 3000 6.20TN-B to 6.35. More ISO support and online play is extremely nice, but there may be more surprises coming in for 6.20 (and before the sign-coded CFWs are released too).

You do know that SONY loses money for every PSP sold. They only earn money through licensing games. The same applies to 360, PS3, and Wii.

A lot of different homebrews i have tried those not work
Is this because of the Version is new or is there homebrews that fit for CFWS and not for HEN
Have tried WTH(work on hbl), warcraft and Age of nations and these do not work on 6.35

That is what it is supposed to do.. Try running some home brew like a verified iso or an emulator (NOT PSX..)

i think i'll wait for the next actual cfw. screw HEN i'm waiting for a newer cfw. i'm still at 5.00m33-6 and thats where i'm staying untill a newer cfw comes out cuz from what ive seen of 5.50gen its crappyer than 5.00m33 so when a new cfw comes out then i give more interest.

p.s. im not saying 5.00m33 is crap cuz its bad ass i'm saying gen is crap cuz its a higher cfw yet it dont even come close to as good as m33.

People, this doesn't mean you should upgrade. If you have 6.20, stick to that. If you have 6.3x, use this and stick to that firmware. That's the number one rule of PSP unlocking(I take offence with the word "hacking): DON"T UPGRADE!!

Just looking at this release & going through the comments...

Autosave you say? hmm. I'm not sure what these people are going through. i have a PSPgo (n-1000) that i had for a year Now running TN-B HEN right now using ISO loader and/or OpenIDEA. I noticed certain game downloaded may have its save defects while running in the loader since its a rip from a UMD of which a non pspgo saves on a memory stick which the game is formatted for.

But most Games should save within the internal memory.
I've downloaded Gran Turismo and it had a save problem in where which it froze when trying to save (at the starting of the game) Usually Its may be the Copying/moving of the ISO or the ISO itself that rarely leads to that or it just may be a certain version of itself that may not be compatible. CSO's (custom or patched ISO's) Work Just fine as well with ISO loader. Either OR...

I Probably wasn't of Help but if you like I'd Be Happy to find out & Help.

Did you replace the Eboot? you have to copy it from HEN6_31 folder and go to (root/hbl/menu) and replace it, my silly trouble at first was that I did not notice that the save game was put in a sub-folder so you just need to take one folder, SAVEDATA/UCJS10094 not SAVEDATA/UCJS10094/UCJS10094 as originally in the WinRar file.

ahh just replying to my own post.. I have a PSPGO on Official Firmware 6.35. I can confirm that this HEN works. After using it i then put the Promethius ISO Loader for TN-A on my psp and it picks up all my ISO/CSO's. I have tried God Of War and it works flawlessly. I think i prefer using a HEN now to custom firmware. This way i get official items as well as custom.

Cheers. However i will be installing Total Noobs Hen when he releases that... at least its in english and also has a VSH menu!

I'm having issues getting this to run on my psp GO. I have firmware 6.35, I have copied all the folders to the correct locations but when I run the exploit it goes right back to the XMB screen. I have PSP 3004 6.35. Homebrew enabler seems to work fine for me (I tested some homebrew game and it worked just fine) but can't get games working with Prometheus ISO Loader, I've properly placed games to ISO directory, but for some reason ISO loader won't start those games (though games are in list where you choose which game to play and I can choose them) and goes back to homebrew enablers main menu when I try to open games after first having black screen an "exiting..." and then "conflig (or something): ?????? (don't really know what there is since it goes away too quickly for me to see properly.) written top of screen for a sec -.-, anyone know what might be wrong?

@Listenio Liatona no you still cant compare 6.20 with 6.35 the only benifit 6.35 has over 6.20 is that with the isoloader you can play games on higher ofw 6.20tn has vsh menue more hombrew compatablity and its more stable than 6.31 or 6.35 pro also soon a cfw 6.20tn genA will be release very soon i got this from a very trustfull source.

OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG G I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS! I have a psp go with 6.31. Today I updated the firmware to 6.35 and downloaded this hack. It works great!!!!! I can't tell you how happy i am! I'm already playing my backed up isos :^P
To all the people who are asking questions regarding the shutting down of your psps after this hack, here's how to do it.
Just follow the instructions given above in this page. Then just click on the game and click on the bottom option in the game(which is in Japanese). Your psp will say 'memory' and then go back to the XMB. Then go to system settings and check for the firmware version. It should say 6.31PRO/6.35PRO.
Now most of you are complaining it shuts down. That's because you think the HEN is some kind of a GUI. But it's not! Don't go back to the game again and do the same steps.....THAT WILL SHUT IT DOWN. Going to the game and clicking on the game to enable HEN is only supposed to be done ONCE everytime you 'RESTART' your psp/pspgo.
Once you see the 6.31/6.35PRO thing in the system settings, now it means that you are ready to add your homebrew. If you want to play iso games, once the HEN is enabled, copy Prometheus or your desired iso loader in the GAME folder of your PSP and then create an ISO folder to drop your iso games in it. Now go to games on your psp XMB and start the prometheus loader to play the isos. Enjoy. :^)

This is HEN, if you want it to stay activated you must NOT power off your PSP, just leave it on "suspend mode". If not, you will have to do the process again.

- *.iso files go on sd0:/ISO
- Homebrew apps go on sd0:/PSP/GAME (each one on a folder: Gotube, OPENIdea ISO loader...)

Well, I just posted myself that I ran it perfectly fine on my 3K using 6.35, so it goes to show you dont read many comments. To elaborate,

1: No. You have no access to NAND to modify Version.txt.
2: Yes, its been tested thoroughly and is good to go.
3: No it is not by TN. This was done by a different programmer as a port of TN's 6.20 hen, if I'm not mistaken.

did all that even formatted my card and redid it on another comp, still no go. i put hbl and h in psp folder, put uscjs10094 in games folder savedata
and put and replaced eboot.Pbp in hbl menu and unhooked from computer went to game saves clicked on sukirri and nothing happened.

Has anyone gotten this to work on a Slim 2001? I can get HBL to load via the save exploit, but when I select 6.35 HEN from the menu, I just get the memory leak message and then the system shuts off. it doesn't go into 6.35 PRO mode at all. I've gotten other homebrew to work, but HEN won't.

Okay, I'm fed of it, I tried to run prometheus ISO loader (from link in news), but when I'm trying to load iso (tekken DR for example) everything goes black and psp is turning of. Loading through OpenIdea loader still don't work. Running game, psp logo plays, then black screen and console turning off. What the fuck is going on? Hi, could someone help me please,

I have a psp 3000 and am running 6.31
I tried this exploit and basically if I don't change the eboot to the appropriate HEN file(6.31 or 6.35) then HBL boots up fine. Although when I go to play any sort of hombrew it fails and my psp goes black and shuts off.
So then i realised i need to put the HEN eboot in (6.31).
I replaced it with the original one and now HBL won't even load up and it says 'MEMORY LEAKED'

HELP.

I don't get it. I have a psp 1001 with v. 6.35 and I did everything listed above to the best of my knowledge. Minna no sukkiri comes up and I can enter it, but it's the only thing I can play (the blue option - I think - makes the screen go black and config screen comes up, while the other option lets me play a game where I have to put books in order - I'm assuming it's the blue option that i have to use). I also can't get into the psp config screen by pressing R button while turning on the console (thought I might have to change to no umd require?). Any pointers for me?

@Pegasus You don't select the savegame, dummy. Download the Minna No Sukkiri DEMO, go to GAME, select it, run the savegame from there and load the HEN.

I've downloaded several, and all they do (even tried switching drivers), is go black screen and maybe shut down, or just hang there.

I did everything as it says in the instructions. but i didnt replace the EBOOT in the menu folder of HBL. instead, i extracted the HEN folder in my PSP->GAME Folder. HBL loaded fine, and then i selected HEN, a memory leak message appeared and then psp returned to xmb. system information displayed 6.31PRO. homebrews ran fine after that. i recommend backing up your Memory stick, then formatting it from the psp and then resetting the psp back to it's factory settings. (all can be found in system settings)and then loading the files...hope this helps

to every1 who get's freezing problems:
Try backing up ur MS, then formating it (with ur PSP) and then only loading the Files from above on it. Worked great for me. Once you have the Hack running, u can test homebrew and ISO's step by step.

Am I supposed to be running prometheus from the main menu, or do I need to run it from the hen? Because when I try to run it from the menu, I get a "corrupted file" message. Yet when I try to run it from the hen- it just goes right back to the hen.

OK I have tested this out. Here is the problem with the ISO loader, it only works with Japan isos. I have tried with a English copy of Naruto Shippuden: UN3 and its Japanese original. The Japanese one worked, but the English didn't. So we are going to have to wait for a driver that lets US games to run in the ISO loader.

I've tried some ISO/CSO backups of two recent games in Prometheus on PSP-3004 + OFW 6.35, which are DBZ Budokai Tag Team and Kingdom Hearts BBS, and both worked flawless!

I mean, why even the 'Install Data' option in those games when running the ISO almost eliminates the loading screen! Each loading screen is now seconds shorter than the UMD with cache on.

I'm not sure who made this HEN port, but thanks to TN and the other devs!!! ;)

OK all u NOOBS:
Do exactly as I say:
1. Copy all data from your Memstick to your PC
2. Format Memorystick from ur PSP menu.
(These 2 steps are recomended but not required)
3. Download:
Minna no Sukkiri Demo (includes PSP SAVEDATA Exploit)
AND HBL R112 for Minna no Sukkiri
AND HEN for 6.31 OR HEN for 6.35
4. Extract all 3 zips to separate folders
5. Extract the Savegame (\demo-minna-no-sukkiri_1292757978\UCJS10094.zip)
6. Connect your PSP and copy these files (X:\ is ur PSP):
6.1 Folder "NPJG90047" FROM "demo-minna-no-sukkiri_1292757978\PSP\G AME\" TO "X:\PSP\GAME\"
6.2 Folder (not ZIP) "UCJS10094" FROM "\demo-minna-no-sukkiri_1292757978" to "X:\PSP\SAVEDATA "
6.3 Everything in the folder "hbl-r112-sukkiri-wololo" TO "X:\" (hbl + h.bin + readme.txt)
6.4 "Eboot.pbp" from "\HEN6_31\" OR "\HEN6_35" to X:\hbl\menu\" replacing the Eboot which is in there.
7. Unplug ur PSP and go to "Games-->Memory Stick"
8. Start the sukkirri demo (japanese) and when ur in the menu, press O NOT X!!(bottom one is load game)
9. Watch the magic happen...
10. Enjoy homebrew, and with the help of PrometheusIsolo ader also LEGALLY BACKED UP Isos until you switch of ur PSP. You can always put it in standby and resume, but once u turn it off, you have to redo these steps.

1. Install the HEN and get it work
2. connect your psp / the memory stick with your pc
3. go to your X:\PSP\GAME\ and put Prometheus in it (the folder!) http://www.psp-hacks.com/2010/...
4. unplug psp
5. in your menu go to game and start the prometheus install
6. installation screen (black with white letters) will ask you to install - install it -> PSP reboots in Prometheus (CustomFirmWare - CFW) on your PSP
7. connect the PSP with your pc again
8. Create on your memory card a folder called "ISO" ... so X:\Iso\
9. Copy games in it (*.iso or cso) -> for loading games i prefer psp-gamezz.6x.to
10. unplug psp - go to game-menu - choose game - play ^^

Yes it's possible you can run homebrew in your PSP3000 ofw 5.51. But first you need to update four 5.51 OFW into 6.20 or 6.31 or 6.35 OFW. You can find the OFW update here in this PSP site. After you downloaded the update file you run it in your PSP and it will update to 6.XX.

Once you are in 6.XX you can now apply this HEN 6.31 or HEN 6.35 or TN-B 6.20 HEN...Be sure to follow all the instructions carefully.

Ah F***! I dusted off my PSP 3000 and decided to update to 6.20. I somehow lost the battery so I used the AC adapter to update the firmware from 5.50 to 6.20. I, apparently, need help. I have followed all the directions to the letter, all files are in their places, yet no matter what, I get the memory leak warning like you're supposed to, but instead of restarting, my PSP simply shuts down. I have tried both putting the HEN in the hbl directory, and in it's own directory as some other person suggested. Neither of these work. "Memory Leak" Is supposed to come! It is normal! Once u have version 6.3X PRO u are done!!!! It's finished! (until u switch off ur PSP)

Folders like this:
All iso/cso files go to x:\ISO (if u dont have, create!)
All eboot.pbp files go to X:\PSP\GAME\nam eofthegame\eboo t.pbp
To be able to load ISOs there are 2 requirements:
1. U NEED TO HAVE AN ISO/CSO!!!! Not an EBOOT.pbp!
2. Download Prometheus ISO Loader and put it in the X:\PSP\GAME\ Folder!
Now run the Loader on the PSP. It will show u all the Isos/csos wich are in the X:\ISO folder!

Hey idiot listen.. This hen works. I was playing Socom navy selas bravo earlier. This baby loads isos/csos like a dream. Make sure u have the save game exploit in the save game file. And you replaced the eboot file in the hen file with the new one. And that the hen is in your root of the psp and so is the hbin. It should work. Stop saying stupid things though. This is not fake at all.

Why do still people ask if it works for 6.35 or if this HEN supports ISO loading??? I mean, how difficult was the language of the original post for them?

1- Get the demo and savegame, put them in correct order
2- star the demo, it is Japanese, choose second option in menu (you won't understand it, but I guess it is "continue")
3- let your PSP go black, "Memory leaks", back to XMB
4- go check your system info it should say 6.31PRO (That's what I tested, I dunno what it says for 6.35) - It means your PSP is running on a temporary HEN (if you turned off your PSP you lose the HEN, you have to restart from point 1, so you'd better keep on sleeping off your PSP as much as you can).
5- If you installed Prometheus ISO loader and created an ISO folder for your ISOs / If you have any Homebrew in your PSP/Game folder, now everything will work.

Notes: again, if you turn off your PSP, you will need to go all over again to activate the HEN.
Another note: Nothing mentioned in this post SHOULD or MUST brick your PSP, unless you went overboard and want to try to downgrade on your own (which is not possible yet) then you might do something wrong.
Note: There is no VSH menu, it is not a full CFW, it is a HEN
Note: I'm testing with Kingdom Hearts, no crashes, no lags, no monkey business ... it is working perfectly.
I am also trying some emulators, a bit slow, but maybe I need to play with the settings anyway.

don't!
It's a temp HEN, which means if you turn off your PSP it will be back to OFW. so you need the Demo/Savegame in case your PSP restarted and you need to activate the HEN again. Just keep the demo, and don't turn off your PSP, make it sleep (unless you like the little suffering of enabling the HEN each time you want to use Homebrew)

I'm running 6.35.
Okay I STILL can't get this to work.
Everything works fine except for two things.
I did all the steps and everything, so it says "PRO" in the system info.
Try to load up .PBP game files from the game selection menu.
The videos of them play when selected, but when I click the game it'll load to a picture of the game, freeze, then hit me with an error.
Typically errors starting with 8001.
Saying the game can't be played.
All the games are in the Removablediskf/PSP/Game folder.
I've tried about 5 different games.
King Of Fighers 99 PSone Classic, Crash Bandicott Trilogy psone classic, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, and one of the Castlevania psone classics from playstation to psp.

The second thing is that there aren't any ISO's to choose from with Prometheus.
I put Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep as a winrar iso file into the ISO folder I made in Removable Disk F/PSP.
Load up Prometheus and there aren't any ISO's to pick from.
Next I tried extracting the winrar iso file into the folder and out pops UMD_DATA.BIN, and a folder that says PSP_GAME.
In the PSP_GAME folder there's PARAM.SFO, SND0.AT3.
Then 3 folders titled INSDIR, SYSDIR, and USRDIR.
In the INSDIR folder there are picture files.
In the SYSDIR folder there's a BOOT.BIN, EBOOT.BIN, EBOOT.OLD, OPNSSMP.BIN, PROMETHEUS. PRX, along with an UPDATE folder with DATA.BIN, EBOOT.BIN and PARAM.SFO.
Then finally in the last folder USRDIR, there are BBS.DAT files and .ELF files.

I did every single thing slow and accurately when installing HBL, the exploit, the demo, and prometheus.
So what the hell am I doing wrong?

Mine worked the first time, being able to run Nester directly from the PSP's dashboard. After I shut it off, however I restarted and tried to run Nester and it says the data is corrupted. A "memory leak" is not an error, it is a must for the HEN to work! after you get that memory leak warning, PSP restarts, go check your System Information and see what FW you have: it shall say 6.3XPRO, your HEN is enabled.

works perfectly on 6.35

if you get memory leak first time and it doest say you have 6.35 pro just reset your settings to default. then it should work was playing daedalus and gba emu on it :). if you turn the handheld off you will lose the soft mod and it will state you have official firmware, but all you do is re run the demo and load the save to get it working again. best to just keep psp in sleep mode then it never loses soft mod.

Seems like your savegame data is either currupt, or you have the wrong fil structure, or I don't know. Format the MS with the PSP and try again. You have to get to a point where it says "Memory Leak" and then Restarts. Also check in System information which version u have, after running the hack... some people don't realize it's good, because of the "forced restart" and memory leak message.
If u start the game, which one of the jap words is selected, top or bottom?

Hei guys, i just acquired a used (but in good conditions) PSP 3000 with OFW Version 6.35. I tried the Homebrew Enabler and ISO Loader above, but when i run the Prometheus ISO Loader in the Games/Memory Stick section of the OFW, it gives a system message that says something with "the game files are corrupted...". I tried with other ISOs and with M33 driver, but this always happens. I'm new in PSP hacks, so i'm having troubles to find a solution, so please, help.

The only thing I can't confirm is how much of the original previous instructions for non 6< firmware applies to my PSP 3001 on 6.35.
1. Can I skip the need for a Pandora/mod battery.
(I could not find anyone who explained why the battery requirement, I am really curious why this is necessary.)
2. Can I go back the original firmware with this new HEN if I need to sell my PSP?

IT WORKS!
My problem was caused by the fact that i forgot to replace the EBOOT as said in Step 4 (sorry, my mistake). When i selected the continue option from de Minna no Sukkiri Demo, it just opens the Half Byte. I was trying to make the Prometheus ISO Loader work with the Half Byte, so, after i choose the ISO i wanted to run, the PIL appears in the OFW Games/Memory Stick session, and maybe because the system wasn't 6.35 PRO yet, it displayed the "corrupted game" message when i tried to run it. I did as said in step 4 and then managed to install and run the HEN 6.35 PRO and Prometheus ISO Loader (with M33 driver included -i got the 5.00_isofs.prx file in Mediafire, found with a google search-), necessarily in this order. I'm running a Dante's Inferno ISO with the NP9660 driver, and it's running really well!

So, thanks for your attention if you read everything i wrote here and sorry for my recklessness (and for my bad english too).

And THANKS A LOT for sharing this amazing software with us, you guys did a great job with it.

HEN is not a Kernel exploit, just a small program located in the RAM. It is not permanent, meaning that once you switch ur PSP off (completely, not standby) your PSP goes back to OFW.
Pandora Battery needed for Kernel exploit. It works with different voltages.
Both methods are likely to become obsolete, since now we can sign our HB so we can run Homebrew on unhacked PSPs soon.

Try different drivers for different ISO's. For me most games play with NP driver, some with m33. You have to check.

I ASK ALL WHO ARE HAVING PROBLEMS TO PLEASE READ THIS AT LEAST ONCE!

-If you follow the instructions and put the files in the correct spots, this will work I promise you.

-If you believe you have a problem or it is not working, it most likely IS working. Here is why:

1) When are done putting all the files in the CORRECT place, check again.

2) When you start the demo, wait for it to load to the menu and touch nothing. When the menu loads, hit the circle button and just wait. It will freeze for about two seconds and then a black screen will appear with some text. Do not worry, this is normal, and you should not concern yourself with what it says.

3) After the first black screen with text pops up, the words disappear and new words come up QUICKLY then disappear. You will then be brought to the NORMAL HOME SCREEN (aka XMB). THIS IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!! You are now at what looks like the normal home screen, and you're PSP can now run homebrew directly from the home screen!

* If you at first followed the instructions and were taken back to the XMB and thought it didn't work, you may have tried it again. This will result in your PSP going to the black screen with text, and then turning off. This is because you already did it correctly, but tried to do it again and messed it up. To fix: just follow my steps 2+3 and wait for the XMB to show up. (DO THIS ONLY ONCE) You are now homebrew enabled.

** Bottom-line, if you followed greg's instructions, and then mine, I can promise you it will absolutely work. If not, you have done something wrong or you did not understand my instructions. Tell me if I am not clear.

Great work! I actually got the hen to work but iso loader, not quite, I mean it works, got to the menu but after I select the iso (I tried Taiko Master 2 and DJmax 3) it seems to load however the psp shut down itself in a few seconds.

Anyone else experience the same thing? Any tips?

@ Anonymous, When you load the ISO Loader (whichever you choose), try changing the driver to the N9 to M33 or whatever else there might be by pressing the SELECT button.

Download the Minna no sukkiri demo and HBL from this page and the saved data that has been exploited. Then put the Demo in ms0:/PSP/GAME
and put the saved data in ms0:/PSP/SAVED DATA. Next put the "hbl" folder in the root of your memory stick (ms0:) and put the "h.bin" file in the root as well. Go to GAME on your psp and run the demo. Then when its loaded (You cant read anything) just press CIRCLE to select continue (Bottom choice). HBL will configure itself and It will say "MEMORY LEAK!" but thats OK it wont hurt the PSP. The XMB Menu will then load. navigate to game and launch a homebrew from there. You can get homebrew from this site other sites. I pretty much just re-worded the directions above.

hi, i've read every single comment that's been posted here, and my problem is (i've got PSP Go 6.35, N1158 only bought couple of weeks ago) that when i click "o" button to select the bottom option in the demo, the black screen comes up but there's no text. couple of seconds later it returns to the xmb screen. I've checked the system version and it's still at 6.35, not 6.35 "pro". Works fine on PSP 3004 with official FW 6.35.
Only problem is that you have to run the game each time the PSP was started to have FW 6.35 PRO.
Is there any way to prevent this?

It's not a permanent hack. Once u switch off ur PSP/Take out the battery etc. u have to redo the hack! This is normal. U can always check if ur hack is running if u go to Sysinfo and u have version 6.3x PRO. If not, redo the hack!

Alright, I followed the Instructions for the installation, had a lot of problems because the instructions above are not clear:

Step 1: Connect your PSP via USB to your computer, and your memory card data should appear as a removable media drive in your "My Computer" folder. Mine appears as E:\ drive and I will use it as example for the rest of the install tutorial (Yours will probably be different).
Step 2: Download & Extract the contents of the Minna no Sukkiri Demo .ZIP Folder from the link at the top of your page.
Step 3: Copy & Paste the extracted "NPJG90047" folder into your E:\PSP\GAME folder.
Step 4: Included in the downloaded Minna no Sukkiri Demo .ZIP folder was yet another UCJS10094.ZIP file. Extract the UCJS10094.ZIP File, and put the extracted "UCJS10094" Folder into your E:\PSP\SAVEDATA folder.
Step 5: Download & Extract the contents of the Half Byte Loader R112 for Minna no Sukkiri .ZIP Folder from the link at the top of your page.
Step 6: Copy & Paste the extracted "hbl" folder & "h.bin" file into your E:\ directory.
Step 7: Download & Extract the contents of the HEN HomeBrew Enabler .ZIP Folder from the link at the top of your page that is consistent with the Official Firmware you currently have installed (6.31, or 6.35).
Step
Step 8: Copy & Paste the extracted EBOOT.PBP file into your E:\hbl\menu folder and overrite the one that came within the hbl folder.
Step 9: Disconnect your PSP from your computer, and navigate to your "Game" Option of your XMB PSP Screen.
Step 10: Choose Memory Stick games, and choose the new game written in Japanese.
Step 11: Wait through the startup screen, and the clapping, and once to an option screen press "o" with the 2nd option selected. (It will be in Japanese, but it means continue). It will display a black screen, but should return to your Main XMB PSP screen.
Step 12: Navigate to "Settings" on your XMB Screen, Scroll down to "System Settings", choose it, scroll down to "System Information" choose it, and if your System Software Version says 6.31 OR 6.35 PRO, you have successfully installed it. Give yourself a pat on the back.

Anytime you shut your PSP completely down, you have to run the japanese game & re-choose the second option by pressing "O" to get homebrew to work again.

I did not follow step #4. I did not replace the EBOOT in HBL, what I did was just put the 6.31/6.35 HEN to a folder named "HEN" then put the folder in the PSP>GAME. Works like charm. Try it too.

Works perfectly fine on PSP 3000 6.35

I had some problems with running Minna no Sukkiri as it was taking me to the actual game, not running hack.
After few tries it just worked... Donno why not at the 1st time.
PrometheusIsoLo ader works (tested with Tekken 6 so far)

In some reason I have to run crack everytime I turn my PSP OFF and back ON

That was first time when I cracked my PSP so I guess it was quite easy.

Do I have to use PrometheusIsoLo ader or is there any way to play ISO without it?

I worked fine on my PSP 3000 (6.35)

I had some problems with Minna no Sukkiri as it was taking me to actual game instead of running hack, but it worked after few tries (donno why not at the 1st try)

PrometheusIsoLo ader works fine as well (tested on Tekken 6 so far)

It was first time when I hacked my PSP and it was quite easy, but in some reason I have to do it over again after each PSP restart… Does anyone know why?

Is there any way to play ISO without PrometheusIsoLo ader?

Been trying this with PSP Go 6.31. Did everything as instructed, yet when I load Minna no Sukkiri. Everything starts loading fine, but then it goes back into the psp menu. I try it again, then it gets stuck in "Freeing Memory".
Any suggestions out there? Greatly appreciate anyone's help.

ok to all those people that are having trouble, and asking where do i put the isos.

first make a folder on the root of your memory stick(ms0:) and name it "ISO" thats it.

second and isos to that folder.

third put Prometheus ISO Loader in psp/games folder.

forth and after running Minna no Sukkiri Demo and it brings you back to the XMB go back into the games and run Prometheus you will come up with a menu that asks you what iso you would like to play press X on what you want to play and there you go....

sorry to sound mean and everything but if everyone would just read instructions there wouldn't be so many problems.

Hello everyone. I bought last week a 3004, FW 6.20. Then I went to a professional and he just upgraded it to 6.31 and followed this process and guess... It worked.. The Prometheus ISO Loader also works. But when you turn off PSP and restart, you again need to use the Sukhiri expolit and then again the "Memory Leak" error and the loader works fine... awesome.. Thanks to all the Devs and this website.. I'm enjoying every bit of my PSP 3004.. also the process is much easier in 6.31 then 6.20.

Great work! I've been able to get almost everything working (3001 with 6.31).

Only 2 things I haven't been able to run
1. Any Snes emulator (tried them all). SNES9xTYL sticks giving 2 options "Quit - x to cancel o to quit". If I cancel it just asks me again, o it will crash and power off my unit.
2. All the PSX-PSP roms I have do not work. I tried chrono trigger and Parasite eve (own both) and neither work. Just crashes and shuts the unit off.

Any ideas on these two issues? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

make sure the ISO folder isn't in the folder called MS_Root, gotta make it where all those folders are like PSP, VIDEO, MUSIC, PICTURE. That's the root of the mem stick its just when you open ur psp when u put it in a USB, see the folders

when u select the demo in winrar theirs 2 items
1. a folder-name-psp-
2. a archive-UCJS10094.zip
u wanna select the psp/game/NPJG90047 the complete NPJG90047 folder gets moved 2 psp/game on the mem stick

after that open the archive-UCJS10094.zip and copy the complete folder-UCJS10094- 2 the savedata folder

guyz i'm really confused. i think i've done everything as it should be but when i enter the Demo of Mina No Sukkiri the demo starts and it gives to play some stupid things. i mean the game shouldn't start rit?! the savedata i think is perfectly done its good but this problem with the game....

I have a silver PSP 2001 with this HEN v6.31 running and I am playing NBA 2K11 just fine.

I have never modded/hack a PSP before today. I did read alot to make sure my PSP had the modo and for a while I was bummed that 6.31 was to HIGH for any HEN or CFW. Then I came up on this page, read the article and ALL of the comments. After that I watched 3 videos on youtube.

I dont mean to be rude to other newbies here but for real I have never done this before and it works fine. Big ups to helpful comments above, links and downloads.

So yes now I am eager for downgrade, CFW, ems/roms, workarounds and any other mod for 6.31+

okay here the second step.

after you run the minna no sukkri demo, choose the second color blue option to load the HEN.then, it should return to XMB. now run the prometheus ISO loader and ENJOY..

Goto your SYStem Information or
Settings>System Settings>System Information.
Your firmware will be 6.31, 6.35 HEN or PRO after you run minna no sukkri.

Note:if you run prometheus ISO loader, make sure you have a proper .cso or .iso game to work.

i have a 3004 PSP software 6.31. I did everything as it should be, I'm sure!After I start the demo the problem comes
i transfer to the title screen and there are two options -
the first somethin like "new game", the second like "load game". To run the hack i need to load the installed data (which is too did as it should be)so I select "load game" and guess what happens - a japanese sign saying somethin about "do not turn of the PSP system" appears and i wait and wait till it gives me the saves but my waiting was forever! let's put it simple when i select load game somethin loads but it's sure not teh saved data i do not know what will happen if I wait for example 3 hours but i better not try i just need to fix this problem PLZ HELP

that was wierd...i tried it many times to my psp..but it work's fine...maybe your battery is to choppy...try changing your battery to pandora..then try to follow the steps shown again...or..make sure your battery is fully charge

Thank you so much for this fix. Works great on my PSP1001. To those who are having freezing problem when you select the second blue text in the game demo, make sure your battery is fully charged. It will freeze if your battery is half way used.

P.S. Tekken 6 ISO (I used the GEN-D2 and 5.03 GEN-B version of the ISO) works GREAT on this Hen 6.31 Pro fix with Prosmethus ISO loader.

done everything as instructed (psp 3004 running 6.35). minna no sukkiri crashes as it should, firmware 6.35 PRO on system information. i've put few iso games on my memory stick (PES 2011, need for speed ProStreet, gran turismo, teken) none of them works (tried both modes M33 and the other thing)... After pressing X on the game i want to load i get the message loading ISO ... and after that just black screen and nothing happens... this was using prometheus 0.0, tried using 0.1 version still nothing. now i cannot even change the ISO mode, it just stands on M33 no matter how strong i pres select :D... plz helpppp

Well I managed to install the Hen properly. My firmware says 6.31 PRO, but then I tried to go load Birth By Sleep Final Mix, which worked before mind you, as I was using 6.20 HEN before, but when I tried to load the game through Prometheus ISO loader the PSP shut off.

ok....first is to download all the requirements..and make sure you have a 6.31 update..

then, run the minna no sukkri, choose the second blue option, then, it goes black screen and says "MEMORY LEAK"..then your psp should go back to XMB..

if you want to see that your psp is fully Henned,
go to
Settings>System Settings>System Information.
then you shoul see "Version" then it shows in the right "6.31 PRO"...
then to run psp games,
download a game you want but make sure that the game is currently supported by Prometheus Iso Loader.

Do NOT update from playstation store. Use MEDIAGO from computer to get playstation store content...that way you are NOT required to UPDATE your PSP. If you have PS3 you can do same thing without needing to update PSP.

I am using a PSP 3001 and I have tried Everybody's Sukkari, HEN 6.35 PRO, and HEN 6.35 PRO-A3 all with Promethus ISO Loader. I am trying to play MHP3rd with the English Patch, however I can't seem to get the game to work. Sukkari doesn't find it in the folders and Prometheus just leaves me at a blank screen where I can only press the Home button to return to the home screen. Any help or suggestions?

If you guys are trying to get HEN so then you can Prometheus ISO Loader you don't need to just go to www.wix.com/refz123/gamerz and press the psp tutorials button. Easy this exploit will work on any OFW and will even work on PSP Go! (___Refz1234__)
