HBL R112 for Minna no Sukkiri Released

Submitted by greg; December 27, 2010

This is for those who're missing out on 6.20 TN and waiting for a possible downgrade or HEN port, you know who you are... You're the ones running firmware 6.30, 6.31 or 6.35. So 'till the downgrade (or HEN) happens, which will probably require this exploit anyway, Wololo has officially released Half Byte Loader R112 for Minna no Sukkiri. With this release comes the passing of HBL for Everybody's Golf and variations thereof... Wololo isn't supporting that anymore. I quote:
I also want to announce that I will stop supporting the Golf exploits from now on. I dont know yet what the decision will be from the development point of view, but as far as binaries are concerned, I wont release updates for the Golf exploit anymore. I strongly suggest to people on OFW 6.30/6.31 to migrate to the sukkiri exploit as soon as possible. As far as I know, this exploit will bring a higher compatibility rate than the golf exploit, the game being a bit more recent.
And for now, those using HBL with the Patapon 2 demo, you're remaining at R109. As long as 6.20 TN (HEN) starts fine there is no need to update Half Byte Loader; the "memory leak" message is nothing to worry about. The most inteligent thing to do, is a downgrader, because already have iso loader, hen and others "finishe&released". An another Hen, will require port's of all those programs, and i think this will require more time. So, i think that a downgrader is the best for us, owners of 6.3x users. What u think about????

Yes. That makes perfect sense. A downgrader, a revision of the current HEn and a custom firmware like GEN or M33 would be nice.

I think a downgrade is impossible? Because the PSPGo and the PSP3000 v3 is not compatible with older firmwares and will brick if these are installed. ^^

A downgrade could work if VERY stable, yet I think a kernel exploit is required for that.

Should i upgrade to 6.35 to run this version of hbl for homebrew ?

Till now it seems there is no future for 6.31 and in any case we will have to upgrade once hen comes out for 6.35 but still i dont wana do anything which i will regret later .

So should i upgrade or wait ?

I upgraded from 6.31 to 6.35 and its great as I can use HBL and PSN. Unfornately when I bought my PSP it was already on 6.31 so it was best to upgrade then wait forever for a 6.31 solution

i upgraded to from 6.31 to 6.35 too. staying on 6.30 or 6.31 is kinda useless so if i were you guys, i'd upgrade to 6.35 unless ur on a cfw or hen.

wait, loading save game on hbl? or loading the sukkiri save?

(ps¹: try download the demo and the hbl here:

http://www.psp-hacks.com/2010/...

and see if it works, if works, its just update, with the new release)

(ps²: if the save you are trying to load, is of some game for snes9xtyl, forgive it! the "save state" of the emulator doesn't work)

@ WebWacker

With what emulator did u load snes games? I managed to load daedalus (games work very slow and with a lot of errors), and gpsp. I tried the two latest snes emulators and they did not run.

Im using hbl on 6.31, it works just fine, for the ones who are thinking about update, i would say, just wait, because if thers a kernel for 6.35 there will be no problem to get that update on internet, also a lot of homebrews work, got nothing to complain about, at least we have something to get entertained until an iso loader for 6.31 or 6.35 comes.

@ mo24 i used daedalus r14, but like i said it barely worked, games had graphical glitches or ran very slow (tried tony hawk's pro skater 2 and super smash bros)

I'm using a PSP 1001 ( Phat ) and on firmware 6.35. It didn't seem to work for me after running the Sukkiri thing.

First of all, I started the demo directly from my memory stick in the Game section.

There was a few black screen with white text, which I have no clue whatsoever on what it says.

I waited a little longer and got to the part which it shows a orange choice and a blue choice.

I selected the Blue choice, as I tried once before and learned the Orange choice started the actual demo.

A completely black screen showed up after a little pop-up on the screen, and then it brought me back to the menu.

I've tried this 5 times, each time formatting the memory stick and putting the files in again.

It still hasn't worked. Help please?

I am using the lastest gpsp made for HBL, it does work but WILL NOT let me save my game progress via savestate or the ingame save option, i also got the Race! emulator working but no games will load….Anyone know why I can’t save in gpsp for HBL, if it helps I am on a PSP 3000 6.35 ofw

* shrey khandelwal, delete the save that came with it, get the save that is from the first rev. and put that 1 into the savedata folder that's how i got mine to work
