Daedalus R9 Status Update

StrmnNrmn with another exciting blog update as Daedalus R9 approaches release day... Sometime by next weekend in fact! The remaining items on the TODO list:

I've been working over the weekend at fixing a number of outstanding graphical glitches, putting in place a system to automatically translate n64 blend modes to the psp. This should hopefully nearly eradicate nearly all of the purple and black textures that have shown up all over the place in previous releases. This is quite an interesting feature from a technical point of view, so I'll talk about this in a bit more depth once R9 is out.
I have a few glitches in the new UI to fix (e.g. audio can't be disabled once the rom has started, controller can't be remapped once the rom has started).
I need to hook up a few things to the new UI (e.g. 'reset to main menu', 'take screenshot' etc)

just to let every one know, I am almost done with my sega saturn project for the psp.All i need to do is fix 2 bugs and thats it.I wont be working on it this month though because I dont have any time.

If anyone wants the files to try out the sega saturn emulator for the psp, just tell me.Ill send you the files and the source code just in case you want to continue my sega saturn project for the psp. Its called Segpsaturn/oniko.
You can also wait for me to finish the project myself. I will probably release it in april.Im just soo busy is all.its a cool emulator though.

but there a problem the 64 game overal size is biger then the psp so the psp plays it smaller but you could have ??? click note and antalong to move the screen on psp

man why so many posts on how its gonna be and how its gonna run ? Just release the damn emu instead of hyping it up so much. Watch it run at like 2 FPS again. It will probably play the whackest games too. I want GOLDENEYE and WCW vs NWO. We want Cruisn USA ! Come on man we dont want frikkin mario kart and Paper mario. WTF is that. Leave mario for the kids. No i believe the_mad_hater is right to a degree,
I would love to see some more entertaining N64 games such as Goldeneye (best FPS ever made), Perfect Dark (run-up/spin-off to Goldeneye), Zelda (Best RPG ever made). However I would also like to see Mario 64, Mario Kart, Banjo Kazooie, etc...

Still you should take The_Mad_Hater's point that a lot of people will want to play the first decent actions games.

As Moditripit said, get your N64's out of the Cupboard, and Practise the action games on there, (Goldeneye / Perfect Dark / Super Smash Bros) until your Game that you wish to Play on this Emulator works Properly, that way you will be ready to Play it Better, and compare the original to this emulated version.

i have seen in my local Second Hand Games shop, a N64 with 3 Games only £24 & Goldeneye for £4.........

Thanks to StrmnNrmn for this Fantastic Emulator, Never Dreamed this would be Possible on this little Handheld Machine!!! Keep Up the good Work....

ya ya n64 emulater cool thing to do..... i jus hope we could do more stuff with the psp know what im saying..... you know you can already play n64 on ur pc at the same original game speed so that is nothing so new..... but wouldnt be better if the internet would be faster or we wouldnty have no problems on the infrastructure mode(specially on EA games)..... or even make an emulator so we could have the same smash bros and mario kart versions but better on a gamecube emulator, or even make some kind of windows specially for psp with microsoft office word and all that.... i mean even if it costs money i would still buy it cuz that would be something that everybody would find a use for..... or just be able to install any program on a psp ..... why dont anyone tries that??? i mean all those lil things could be fixed and there is a lot of people out there capable to do it but everyone is too busy doing some other useless things.... im not saying that these people are wasting their time.... all im saying is that since they already hacked into the psp and decrypted it, why dont they try doing others things instead of the same thing over and over again, just better.... you know what i mean???.... i just wished that someone could make something useful and unique that i really would use
