The title says it all -- and as for the [user readable] change log ... who knows? Coldbird is on vacation and Liquidzigong didn't pack one in the RARs -- but if you look here, that's the real, technical deal. Again Custom Firmware 6.20 / 6.35 / 6.39 PRO-B9 is compatible with just about every PSP model and hardware revision:

6.20 [1g, 2g, 3g, 4g, 5g]
6.35 [1g, 2g, 3g, 4g, 5g, 7g, 9g]
6.39 [1g, 2g, 3g, 4g, 5g, 7g, 9g]

Not sure what model/revision you've got? Use this app: PSPident. And remember: This is BETA. You're using CFW PRO-B9 BETA at your own risk ... but all in all, I'm sure it's safe. There should be a very low chance that it will brick as the CFW is only temporary (it goes away if the PSP is fully powered off) if you didn't install the CIPL flasher.

The safest way to update to a newer CFW is to:
1. Run the old installer and remove the CFW.
2. Run the new installer (PRO-B9 when it comes out) and install the newer CFW.

hi everyone.. i have a problem on CFW 6.20/6.35/6.39 Pro b1 up to b.... does anyone encounter this problem.. everytime i browse the net using psp default browser. my psp freezes. aw.. and i had to remove the battery to restart it again... why oh why.. can anyone help me or it is just a bug on CFW PRo... aw..

You could update to 6.39 OFW and then run PRO or ME custom firmwares (your choice).

The PRO CFW is the best firmware ever, can revert to ofw anytime. It is so amazing. I was hesitant when I first got my PSP almost 2 months ago about hacking, but now I have, and it works great!

Update to 6.39 ofw, run the 6.39 PRO B9-beta update, and then you should be able to play those "games"

you need to update to OFW 6.39 on your psp and then update to PRO B8 or M9

You should install the LITE version instead and then you will have absolutely no chance of bricking your psp

I was updateing my PSP 3004 from 6.20 through updates of 6.20 Pro B-4,5,6,7 ... Ever since then some games didnt work on B4, but worked on B5+ But SOme others stopped working. For example:
NFS Underground Rivals worked great on B4&5 but doesent work on B7
Similar problem with DJ Max Portable 3 ... there was a special patch in B5 or 6 but it doesent work on B7.
Should I Revert back to B4,5 or 6 from B7 or update to B9Beta ?

I have a slim PSP-2000 (TA088v3), and I currently have Chickhen R2 + 5.03 MHU CFW installed. Is there any particular CFW I can change to that won't brick my PSP? Or sould I just stay within the 5.xx area to be on the safe side? Sorry, I'm not that updated regarding CFWs...

I dont know what happened but I bricked mine while I was updating from 6.20 to 6.39. HEN was still activated when I updated and I placed all the necessary files for updating and hacking in the memory stick at once. When I tried updating, it said that it couldnt access the memory card and that I should try reinserting it. I followed the instructions and did it a couple of times but nothing happened. It turned off after a couple of hours of waiting and not knowing what to do. After that, my PSP wouldn't boot.
