6.20 TN Scheduled for Release on Dec. 24

The French team over at pspgen has received the final version of Total_Noob's 6.20 TN/HEN and according to them they're going to make it public December 24 at 12:30 (French time). There is a 6-hour difference between EST and CET so we can expect it around 6:30 in the morning if pspgen is on a 24-hour clock. If you're a new reader, perhaps hoping to open a PSP come Xmas morning, then you should know Total_Noob's 6.20 TN (or HEN) takes advantage of a VSH kernel exploit, which in turn enables PSP homebrew (running unsigned code) to the fullest. I'm talking ISO loaders, everything -- on all PSP models! However, for the moment you'll need to be running firmware 6.20. Firmware 6.35 is susceptible to the same exploit but requires further tweaking and testing before it's made public. So if your PSP is lower than 6.20, then you can upgrade to 6.20 here (PSP-1000/2000/3000) or here (PSPgo). If your PSP is later than 6.20 you'll have to sit and wait ... and whatever you do, do not update should Sony issue a new firmware version anytime soon. - source: pspgen

I really dont know why total_noob gave pspgen his hen just for a crappy psp go i know he is apart of the gen team but i have nothing to do with psp gen they are the one that turn my 5.03 chicken into custom firmware and i told everyone that i do not want any cfw on my hen thats the reason why i did not publish chicken r3 or psp go 6.10 hen.

The main reason Total_Noob sent the HEN to PSP GEN was because PSPGEN and Total_Noob made a deal. The deal was PSPGEN send Total_Noob a PSPGo so he can try the HEN on it. When the HEN completes Total_Noob is to give PSPGEN the HEN for letting him use the PSPGo. There will be NO ISO Loader until Dridri releases it(Thats something else to wait for). The ISO Loader isn't THAT important as you can play homebrews until its out. I think PSPGEN is delaying this to install some of their OWN things into the HEN, renaming it 6.20GEN-A. I THINK!!!

@ psp 3k HEN stands for Homebrew Enabler, no ISO's yet. HEN works differently than CFW, it will not replace anything on your flash0 so the chance of brick is 0%.

This really sucks for me, I own a brand new PSPgo and the OFW is 6.30. I wish when I bought my GO it came with OFW 6.20 instead of firmware 6.30. For those who upgraded to the latest OFW shame on you. For those who bought a GO and it already came with the latest firmware, we are truly the unlucky ones, not the pathetic ones who upgraded and are complaining like little girls. Anyways, I hope T-N releases a HEN for OFW 6.35, since the next Sony firmware will likely patch the kernal exploit.

Whats the point of this when most of the emulators on the psp suck? ISO loader would be very handy indeed. As i understand most of the psp/wii devs have gone on to program for the ps3 so i see the psp scene is mostly dead. Full speed? No. The emulator itself does not emulate most of the games at full speed. The N64 emulator will run alot better from the XMB than from HBL though.

I think a PSPGo would be wonderful with 6.20 TN. Especially once a ISO loader is released. The PSPGo has a large internal memory. It will allow you to have plenty of ISO's, PSX games, and different homebrew.

HEN - Homebrew ENabler. Its temporary. Each time you start your psp you will have to run this. Put the psp in sleep mode constantly and it wont matter much.

Seriously guys; ysomad? Everyone has their own opinions, we hardcore gamers love our psps and the lame ass kids love their soft pokemon, zelda, and lame pokemon games: all the dsi can handle. I could go into a rant on why the PSP 3000 pwns the dsi, I've had them both: sold my dsi back to gamestop in a matter of about 3-4 months of buying it. He's just an annoying troll with no life, bored with his dsi apparently to flame the site. Let's just ignore him?
